Seems that Jack Demspey should have been added to that list.

Imagine a Jack Dempsey in the late 50's or 60's.
    A fight promoters dream.
100,000+ fight fans attending each fight.

I really don't see how Fitz can be missed out of a p4p list?

Charles should really be there as well!

I like the names on the list. Is Duran possibly too high though? Charles and Moore deserve to be on there but I don't know who you would remove from the list then.

T, Charles should always be ranked as a light heavyweight, for that was his true weight class...A great fighter and gentleman, Snooks was one of my very favorites, and P4P a better fighter than Ali,sans the hype.

Well, it's clear that you're no run-of-the-mill boxing fan because you have a good knowledge base. Keep researching Greb though, and you'll eventually feel obligated to put him at the top.

    Hello, chum.

1 and 2 are fine and the placements are fine.

Pep, Louis and Duran are all to high in my opinion and absolutely cannot be placed above Greb and Langford, who are locks for the top 4 IMO. Having them in your top 10 is reasonable, but all those guys can also reasonably be ranked outside the top 10. Not top five material, so I disagree on 3, 4 and 5.

    6, Greb, to low.

    7, 9 and 10 are fine.

Omitting Fitzsimmons and Charles is not, in my opinion, reasonable.

Joe Louis #4 is a wet dream I'd never dare have (between the guilt and the massive stains).

Because Tunney did not did not beat the same number of HOF'ers as did Greb.

You fail, stick to Yahho answers.

everyone else, thanks for your input.

    DT is a f'n '****, don't listen to him.

I have Fitz just outside the top ten myself.

Greb will never fall from the no.1 spot on my list.

You don't think Langford can be argued for the 1 spot with his success over all time greats from a wider range of weight classes?

I think he can, but I think Greb has a bit more consistency on there (which Langford fights were dodgy due to pre-Walker law racism etc etc? I don't know) as well as that big win over Tunney (as well as possibly deserving at least one more from what I can gather) and less losses.

They both fought blind as **** which shows how amazing they were!

It's certainly arguable. My top five is 1. Greb 2. Armstrong 3. Robinson 4. Langford 5. Charles :good

When you get to these guys, they could be in any conceivable order IMO. I wouldn't really put up much of a fight either way. I admit that I'm more well-versed on the intricacies of Grebs resume than I am on Langfords, however I am clued up on both.
