i stopped reading after that he fought spinks for the second time in 86 he fought holyfield in 1992 theres a bit of a difference there.
LOL, I was thinking of when he fought Tyson. But that version of Holmes is better than anyone Lewis ever fought except KKlitschko.
Also, Holyfield won because of SKILL. Lewis won 90% because of his size and reach advantages. Holyfield (an ex-Light-Heavy) never had these luxuries when campaigning with the big boys, but still manage to be more successful at Lennox natural weight class.
Amazing, you should become a boxing writer with this knowledge. First off this is heavyweight rankings yeah? DeLeon, Quia? Don't recall their stint at heavyweight, maybe you can set me straight. Near prime Tyson, you taking the ****? No version of Tyson post 1990 was anywhere close to prime. Foreman . Foreman's second time round is known only for beating Moorer, that's it, period. He lost to Morrison ffsatsch Better make Morrison an ATG eh? This is a better win than Vitali, Ruddock, Golota, Holyfield, prime Bruno, Tucker etc? Wake up to yourself. Bowe - The guys whole history is built on Holyfield, that's it. Couldn't control his stomach and got slapped about something silly x2 vs Golota. Overrated to the extreme. Oh, and he ducked Lewis. Moorer, Old George, Old Holmes, 1/3 over no resume ducker Bowe and 7 years past it Tyson are not better wins than slight past prime HGH Holyfield x2 and Klitschko. There's even an argument for Ruddock Tua bulked up like Tyson did, it was deliberate, once again exposing your ignorance. Tyson was years past it, if you count him as one of Lewis's best wins yet again you expose your hate/ignorance. "Ancient Holyfield", a credible Holmes, weak record Bowe, "Near prime Tyson" yet Holyfield who was undefeated in 5 fights beating past it Tyson x2 and Moorer is "an ancient Holyfield":rofl Klitschko and Holyfield x2 (draw my ass) is better than any win on Holyfields record. Add Rudduck, prime Golota who'd demolished Bowe x2, Tucker, prime Mercer, Tua, prime Bruno, McCall, prime Briggs and prime Rahman all give Lewis as much depth as Holyfield easily. The jokes on you. Not just win/loss, the entire record. Couldn't give a **** about 2 division champion. I agree overall Holyfield ranks higher but purely HW? No. He won it 4 times, that also means he lost it more too. Lewis was coming on strong, but I guess your hatered of Lewis blocks you from seeing that. He was also turning 38, at an age when most ATG's are being battered Lewis gave a competitive fight against one of the most dominating champions of the last 7-8 years who would be a handful for any ATG H2H. Once again with the divisions!!atsch This is a HEAVYWEIGHT debate. You have the cheek to call me out as knowing nothing yet talk about Holyfield beating "more world champs than anyone in Heavyweight history", so where were those HW's in their career when Holyfield beat them? Imagine what Lewis would have achieved on HGH. This house......... is clean.
A great heavyweight is a great heavyweight. I guess you hold it against Louis for being larger than most of his opponents? Heavyweights taylor their skills to their size and 6' 2 1/2 215lbs is hardly small is it. How about you go through Holyfields record and see how many times he was grossly outsized. Just look at what prime Tyson and Marciano did and they're far smaller than Holyfield.
Wow just wow. Ok got it now, you're a pathetic troll. I don't pop into classic too often but it's clear you're neither respected nor taken seriously here.
1) Mohammad Ali 2) Joe Louis 3) Rocky Marciano 4) Lennox Lewis 5) Larry Holmes 6) George Foreman 7) Mike Tyson 8) Jack Johnson 9) Joe Frazier 10) Evander Holyfield
BoxingFan1 I think Holyfield's resume is better than Lewis's too. You say Bowe made his name only with Holyfield, but you think GOLOTA is a good opponent for Lewis, when all HE ever did was QUIT TWICE against a war-torn Bowe, (in fights he was winning) ! Lewis barely beat Holyfield the second time, and Holyfield was already seriously past his best, and Lewis was at his peak. And that's Lewis's best win. Holyfield beat a better version of Tyson. Holyfield beat a fitter version of Mercer, and beat him more clearly too. Holyfield was never iced with one punch from journeyman contenders either. Never, not even in his decrepit old age incarnation of the last 10 years.
lewis and ali at 1 and 2 then there's holmes, foreman, liston, frazier, tyson, joe louis the third tier has bowe, holyfied, witherspoon and a klit
I will add to that though, thats its by two seperate crowds. There's the maricon americans and Josef Fritzl's son hating on the english. And theres the older than **** guys hating on the modern
