Just found out my trainer who is training me for the amateurs is a professional boxer who just started their pro boxing career !(He's 2-0 to be exact) !! Is this a good thing or a bad thing ?
I would like to know the negatives and positives for this situation

Rather bad then good. Trainers should be older and a little bit more mature then the average athlete. Especially pros arent carefull enough about their own health, therefor a trainer is needed.
But given the fact how many bull**** trainers are out there who never had a fight you can be more then positive about it.

Doesn’t really matter, you should be able to tell whether he is a decent trainer by training under him and seeing how you improve in sparring.

My trainer is an ex-amateur who stopped watching boxing years ago because he became disillusioned with coverage being taken off of free tv. Literally he doesn’t watch any “new” boxing, just old fights on YouTube. Still a great trainer and really respected in my gym.
