lol, yeah. If you count both fights against Andrade, he has 3 *convincing* wins against top 10. That's more than you can say for everyone else in the list.

Andrade being a world class fighter's best opponent is nothing to be bragging about. Miranda will be Bute's best opponent yet. Two of the fighters on the list dominated him with ease. Bute better do the same if he wants to remain in the conversation. Kessler handled Andrade easily. The top 6 or 7 guys in the SMW division would handle Andrade just as easily.

My top 10, the divison is hot now and these ranking are so fluid, by the end of April could have Kessler back in the top 3 or Froch could be a clear number 1 for all. Also I am liking Green v Ward, we have had so many surpises so far -

Froch - best resume, Dirrell win was legit.
Ward - beat Miranda and Kessler
Bute - Star not in Super 6
Kessler - was the man until Ward beat him.
Dirrell - good win over abraham
Abraham - based more on middleweight exploits
    Stieglitz - decent pro
Bika - tough fight for anyone
Green - power puncher ready to stake a claim
Andrade - tough guy, got his aura blown away by Bute

Course this is not based on perseved talent (that's why Froch is no.1)

there is a huge drop between the top 7 or 8 to the next two. Bika and Andrade would have almost no shot of beatting any of those fighters ahead of them. Green is really the only fighter other then wearing out Bute. Bute we saw was actaully knockedout by Andrade, but even in that fight Andrade was dominated, Bute won almost every round. He also lost every second of his fight with Kessler. Bika has never shown the skillset that would have him beat top fighters.

Bika although lacking skill, would give everyone a tough night at the office.

I do not like watching Froch, fight or talk, but he should clearly be #1 before and after the AA/Dirrel fight. His resume is much better at 168 than Ward.

No doubt, but not near enough of a tough time to get a win. Or really even that close to one. On top of not being that skillful, Bika isnt a big puncher.

    1 Andre Ward (beat Kessler)

2 Carl Froch (beat Pascal, Taylor, and Dirrell - if Kessler is not ranked at least 3rd, then Froch's wins should elevate him above Ward)

3 Mikkel Kessler (beat Andrade clearly and many others; longest resume at SMW)

4 Lucian Bute (beat Andrade controversely and clearly)

    5 Andre Dirrell ('beat' Abraham)

    6 Arthur Abraham (beat Taylor)

    7 Librado Andrade

    8 Robert Stieglitz

    9 Sakio Bika

    10 Allan Green

i like this list . although I'd have ward and bute one and two , froch and dirrell tied for 3rd. If Froch STOPS Kessler he goes to no.1 though

Based on what they have achieved I have no respect for any list that has Froch out of the top 2.

Really the only way you can have Ward above Froch is if you saw Kessler as 'the man' before he lost to Ward.

Bute has no claim to be above Froch.

It does not matter if you don't like him you have to look at what he has done.

True, if Kessler is not in someone's top 3... then Ward beat someone who is not a real top fighter - someone who was exposed. And then Ward surely does NOT deserve to top Froch who has beaten Pascal, Dirrell, and Taylor in his last three fights!

The only way Ward can be ahead of Froch is if the top three looks like this:

    1. Ward
    2. Froch
    3. Kessler
