    It's a good list..... first things that i noticed was the #18 seems to a be little low for Archie Moore and #45 is very low for Marciano: considering he knocked out your #18 and #6.

    POUND-FOR-POUND Rocky Marciano should definitely rate higher.

    And I think Floyd Patterson and Jack Dempsey belong on the list.

    Good to see Walcott and Ross ranking high, I think Holyfield and Whittaker are too high and maybe Moore and Gans are too low. Also I think Oliveras is a top 50 p4p. Otherwise it's actually a good list.

    Holyfield was UNDISPUTED champion in TWO of the modern weight divisions, so I think he deserves that ranking.

    I dont recognize all the divisions equally - I mean 3 world titles in 3 divisions in 1930s means more than it does later on - but I cant think of many modern fighters who were UNDISPUTED champion in more than one division, so Holyfield deserves some recognition.

    There was always dispute over his Heavyweight reign, but he was The Heavyweight Champion of the World; twice IMO.

    I dont remember anyone disputing him as heavyweight champion when he beat Buster Douglas.

    Maybe the WBO, but they didn't even recognize Tyson and Douglas as heavyweight champions !
    They chose Damiani and Duplooy to contest their title when Tyson was champion ! LOL

    I'm surprised Holmes and Marciano are so low. Is this based on head-to-head or accomplishments? Or something else?

    Well, my reasoning for having Moore so low is actually one of very few things I've agreed with Brownpimp on, he lost to pretty much every top fighter he faced, despite having a great resume overall. I don't have a problem with guys having Moore higher, I just personally don't think he belongs in the top 10. I put Leonard over him because his top 4 wins are among the best ever, and he beat the best he faced, unlike Moore. Moore's overall quantity of opposition was obviously better given his number of fights though, so depends on what you prefer.

    And again, I have no problem ranking Whitaker as low as about #17, but I choose not to.:D

    My ranking for Marciano is a tough one. I rank him my #5 or #6 Heavyweight, and he fought there his entire career, but I still managed to rank him above my #4 Heavyweight Holmes, due to his size. I guess I think his resume is a tad overrated, but still good. His best Heavyweight win in my opinion is the win over Walcott, not Moore or Charles, considering they were natural LHW's and past their primes.

    I don't rank Marciano anywhere near those two because he was the HW(not really, but still) fighting the smaller men, and past their primes. Also, their resumes lap his about 4 times.

    :good Holyfield was the best CW of all time and went on to fight and beat most of the best at HW. A true warrior.
