Floyd ran from Manny when manny moved in. When Manny cut the ring off Floyd held. When he didnt manny got good shots in and looked like the stronger puncher. Floyd did what he had to do to win and while it was lame and boring he won the fight and deserves the credit. We know who the better boxer is but manny is clearly the better fighter. When floyd boxed manny looked lost. When there was anything resembling a fight floyd looked clearly out of his element. I dont want to hear manny was a shot fighter because he is not. Im glad its over but unfortunately boxing fans still have no closure as to who is truly the better fighter. I guess its Floyd by default.
At the end of the day, Floyd is a boxer, not a fighter, and boxing is what he does. He didn't do anything worthy of deducting points and never really broke the rules more than anybody else does. He dominated Pacquiao and made him look pedestrian. I think people have to remember that Floyd's gameplay plays a large role in why Pacquiao was so bad. He made him gunshy, just like he did against Canelo.
