His punch resistance should have increased with the added weight -- I don't see why he could not absorb the same punishment on average as, say, Buster Douglas.
I don't think that Tyson would have to loose any solid weight. He could just sweat down to 200 lbs and take laxatives then turn up at 216 lbs on fight night. David Haye did it all the time.
I am giving this thread the only kind of response it deserves. I couldn't imagine debating this subject earnestly, and I felt the best way to make that point was to argue for the underdog.
Hearns would of probably lasted 3 rounds at most. Mostly moving around and he MIGHT stun Mike with a right but he would get back to work afterwards and knock hearns organs into the parking lot.
Well, Mike at 200 pounds and Tommy at 190? The key for Mike would be to pin Tommy on the ropes and get to the body quickly before the 200 pounds weakens him in a few rounds. Tommy would have to stay on the outside and not get near the ropes and use his jab and tie up Mike fast when he got close, and when they broke try and hit Mike with a hard right. It is a tough fight for Tommy stylistically. The problem with Tommy as great as he was, and I think he was greater than Mike Tyson as a fighter and his greater fights and wins, Tommy liked to brawl and get guys out of there. Which would work to Mike's favor. I go with Mike in two rounds. Mike is too big for smaller guys great or not. Mike would have stopped Hagler also.
Tyson KO 0 Unless... Hearns 2.0 Hearns injects PEDs directly into his brain, giving him matrix like bullet time abilities. This will allow Hearns to dodge all tysons punches, and think about dinner whilst doing so. Eventually, Hearns will be able to travel back in time and KO Tyson as a baby, becoming ultimate champ.
