To be frank, you shouldn’t be fabricating conspiracy theories and posting them on the internet as a full grown adult.

This is what Canelo and co actually said:
“Canelo said Mayweather tried to include a "rehydration clause" in the fight contract, where Canelo would be unable to weigh above a certain number on the day of the fight. Canelo, who rehydrates to more than 170-pounds on the day of the fight, rejected that clause.

"They came up with a second-day weigh-in. They wanted to do a second-day weigh-in and limit what I could weigh the second day, and I wouldn't agree to that. And then they tried to force me to stay quiet and to not mention it, and that's why we didn't say anything. And we haven't said anything until now," Canelo said.”

    The win was great.

    But Duran had better wins.

    You know this.

    This is a terrible post.

This is why people question whether or not you’re trolling.

You have no idea how to rate a win, as you’re so blinkered.

    All you see is:

Canelo was better than what Barkley was P4P, therefore, Floyd must have had the better win.

    No.

    That’s not how it works.

Yes, Floyd had a GREAT win over Canelo.

He was 36, and it was a masterclass.

However, Canelo was pre-prime, and he was inexperienced at fighting elite level competition, at a time where he barely beat Lara and Trout.

Floyd also had huge advantages in speed and reach.

Canelo was significantly heavier, but he never pressured Floyd and used that to his advantage.

He stood off of Floyd all night, where he gave him far too much respect.

Now look at the challenge that Duran faced.

    He was also 36.

But he’d had over 90 fights!

Think about that for a second.

    Over 90 fights.

And he was facing a huge, powerful MW, who DWARFED him in height and reach.

Look at the degree of difficulty.

    The stylistic challenge.

Under those circumstances and conditions, it was much more impressive how Duran beat Barkley.

A tiny 36 year old former LW, who’d had 90 plus fights, had no business whatsoever being at MW fighting a guy like that.

    Open your eyes.

It was a much harder fight, and a much more impressive win.

Canelo being a better P4P fighter than Barkley, has no bearing on how you should evaluate things.

Even if you think Canelo would have beaten Barkley H2H, it should have no bearing.

Floyd would never have put himself in a situation like that, where he’d have took on that kind of a challenge.

Tell the truth of what happened.

Canelo did not want those terms.

    He wasn’t given a choice.

Floyd forced a fellow champion to fight at a C-W, which was absolutely disgusting.

How can two champions from the SAME division fight at a C-W??

    It was a joke.

Barkley was a C+ level champion whose name gets thrown around solely due to fighting a couple Fab 4 guys, one of whom had a bad chin. Toney showed that the guy was a punching bag. A guy like Laurent Bouduani was at least at that level but he didn't have the famous coattails to ride.

Floyd wanted it at 147 or 150 (not gonna look it up). Floyd wanted a rehydration clause.

Canelo agreed to 152 with no rehydration clause. He was comfortable with those terms and didn't even need the payday.

    That's called negotiations.

Floyd has a very impressive resume that’s very deep.

But he doesn’t have the quality that Duran has.

Duran fought prime versions of Benitez, Leonard, Hearns and Hagler.

Nobody on Floyd’s resume can compete with the quality of those fighters.

Duran went a total 1-5 against all of them only beating Leonard once and getting brutally knocked out by Hearns

You still don’t get it do you.

    SMH

    Toney??

Toney was a SMW and in his PRIME.

    He was 25 years old.

    Roberto Duran was 36!

    He’d had 90 fights!

He was only 5’7, with a tiny 66” reach.

    CONTEXT.

He was not comfortable with those terms at all.

He has literally publicly said that.

Thanks for clarifying that, Einstein, I wasn’t aware.

Now engage your brain for a second.

    If that’s possible.

Duran was a 5’7” fighter, with a tiny 66” reach.

    Yes, he lost to them.

However, they were absolutely PRIME ATG’s, who were naturally much bigger, in much higher weight classes.

And he had no business whatsoever fighting Hearns and Marvin.

Now Floyd has his shiny zero for you to get the tissues out for.

    But consider these 3 points:

    1. Floyd did not fight any prime ATG’s, or any fighter of their level.

    2. Floyd could not have remained undefeated had he have fought those guys.

    3. Floyd would not have fought all of those guys, if any at all.

What are you laughing at you clown?

Your guy wouldn’t have fought those guys for a billion dollars.

Your guy ran from Manny for years.

You think he’d have gotten in the ring with a prime Hearns at JMW??

    Duran had balls!

    He got smashed by Hearns.

After he’d fought a prime Marvin Hagler.

Compare that to Floyd, who had to incorporate a catch-weight, on a fellow champion from the same division.

It’s easy to gloat about an undefeated record, when you’ve fought much lesser opposition.

Forget about Floyd beating the Fab Four.

He wouldn’t even have fought any of them.

You rank fighters based on who they beat not who they fought and lost to. Getting knocked out by Hearns or quitting against Leonard doesn't give a fighter points on their resume just because they fought them.
