If you have to make bs excuses, he ranks lower as an ATG.

Marcel is better than anybody FMJ beat. That includes Diego Corrales and an old DLH and old Pacquiao.

Duran was 18 years old when he beat Marcel. And wasn't even half the fighter he would later become.

    We could keep going.

Marcel beat Arguello. Who did an old DLH, old Pac or Diego Corrales beat?

You don’t hear about the fights Floyd won with injuries. Meanwhile, Duran get a pass for quitting in a fight that happened at the peak of his career because he apparently didn’t train well enough.

And? It's called being rational. To not consider he was grossly overweight and undertrained is not being rational.

He actually managed to drag Leonard into multiple exchanges that he slightly won at rounds 5-6,then he stops at 7 and quits at 8.

It will always be a blemish, and Floyd and Manny will never be remembered for quitting like Duran did,but i would still stand with the others, that single peak performance vs Leonard was enough.

It’s called irrational to excuse Duran’s lack of professionalism.

Did I say Duran was professional in the Leonard rematch?

It lowers Duran’s ATG ranking and especially in close comparisons.

I agree that Duran allowing himself to get out of shape is a black mark on his career. But I thought in this thread we were discussing resume. I already told you by the age of 18 that Duran had already beaten Marcel.

FMJ best win is Diego Corrales.

    It's not close man.

We haven't even gotten to DeJesus or Leonard.

Its just a stupid thread in an attempt to gain attention.
Durans resume is head and shoulders above Mayweathers and it is not up for debate.

    1. Ken Buchanan
    2. Ernesto Marcel
    3. Saoul Mamby
    4. De Jesus X 2
    5.Thompson
    6. Brooks
    7.Palamino
    8. Leonard
    9. Cuevas
    10.Moore

I haven't even named all the contenders he defeated.
The man was a pro for THIRTY THREE YEARS.
He has double the wins of a Mayweather
    He has SEVENTY KNOCKOUTS.
