Dudes 6'11 a slender 260 and is extremely coordinated. I have a feeling if he wanted to be a boxer, there wouldnt be much of a learning curve. What the **** could you honestly do against a guy like that? This isnt Valuev.

No way. Most soccer players look like 13 year old girls. He must be modeling for some soccer shoe.

you know the HW division is only 1 division right? Theres tonnes of footballers who could be MW/SMW/LHW, and the fact that you used Beckham as your example shows you know **** all. Infact you look like a ****** using him of all footballers, but then its the USA who pays hom $500,000k per week.

But you have no proof do you of what he could achieve only assumption and you know what they say about assumption right? It's the mother of all **** ups.

If what you 'assume' was true I'm sure there'd be just as many 6 foot 11 inch boxers from Ukraine's basketball team. Or Brazil. Or China.

Bigger people have less stamina/mobility remember that when you 'assume' the next best thing is playing basketball...

I say I think Howard could succeed in boxing because he is not bumbling or goofy. He is extremely fleet footed and moves easily for a big guy. Given his height and reach, he would present some ****ing problems for anyone.

its not just about athleticism when talking about the ingrediants to a great heavyweight.I can acknowledege that most of these big guys in American sports are probably more athletic than boxers even the all time great boxers if comparing the regular coordinates that measure aspects of athletiscm like 40 yard time and high jump etc.Hell Bo Jackson could probably run twice as fast as Iron Mike, bench press more, jump higher, squat more but who would win in a fight.Fighters are born and even if Jackson to use an example trained from the age of five i would still pick Tyson by 1st round ko because intangibles like chin, heart, aggresion ,intensity, mental fortitude, reaction to getting hit play a far more significant role in boxing than outright athleticism and Mike had these in abbundance.

Most basketball players wouldnt make great heavys anyway even if they did take up the sport as youngsters.Their tall athletic guys with long limbs and fast movement for their size but their body types strike me as not conjusive for success in heavyweight boxing from what ive observed down the years.Im generalising here but guys with exceptionally long arms like you see in basketball vary rarely punch hard.I can think of few examples particularly in the heavy division. The all time great heavys from Vitali now to Foreman,Liston,Marciano,Holyfield,Tyson,Shavers to the notable heavys now and over the years from Povetkin to Tua,mcall,Chagaev,Ibeabuchi etc all pocess powerful upper bodys with shorter thicker arms and a much lower centre of gravity compared to a typcal BB player whith is generally more conjusive to punch power aswell as punching coordination and probably punch resistance.I can gurantee that Tyson,ChagaevPeter with their squat powerful upperbodys and thick necks all absorb a better punch than Kobe or Dwayne Wade.So even amongst all these big sports with all these big men take a close look and ask yourself how many of these athletes posess the physical prerequisites to be heavyweight champions.Wide recievers are most likely to small and dont heve the upper body strength,Ol and Dl are too big, running backs are generally too small aswell as conerbacks.

i honestly just think some black people can't get over it that there are white euros out there who can box. When they say U.S, they mean black don't they? Being good at basketball isn't really a factor in how good you might be at boxing. There is obviously skill involved in it but not as much as a lot of other sports. Football (soccer) just as one example, involves a lot more skill and coordination . Boxers are boxers.

You cant compare the USA to europe. The USA is a country, europe is a continent. if you wanna compare north america to europe, including cuba, mexico, puerto rico and canada, then north american still beats europe all over the place in boxing.

    Lets talk apples to apples.

Nah, if its one thing I noticed, its mostly white people who hate the klitsckos. If they were exciting I dont think anyone would care what color they were. If they fought like Dempsey or Marciano, then it wouldnt matter. But they have a boring style. And like black Lennox Lewis struggle to find fans.

I blame Black Manny Steward for introducing that style into the heavyweight division.
