wow thats why too expensive, I heard on the news a while back a guy being thrown in jail for having a little bit of weed in his pocket and that they execute you if you carry a lot of it with you.
Thats why I assumed it was kind of similair with alcohol.
I think I need to double check my pockets if I ever go to singapore just to make sure there isnt a crumb of weed in there.

"Hits" don't mean popularity. People google Tiger Woods to make fun of him or to try to get a look at any of his 20 mistresses. While he may be #1 in popularity, it is not all good and it is not "by a mile" as some claim.

From my POV, watching ESPN and live sports all day and talking sports with as many people as I can, I'd say in no order the most popular athletes in the US today (looking over the whole sports landscape) would be: Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Shaq, Albert Pujols, Derek Jeter, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Sidney Crosby, Landen Donovan, Shaun White, Lindsey Vonn, Michael Phelps, Roger Federer, Williams sisters, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Brock Lesnar.

Pac actually gets 40% more hits in the US overall using Google trends as a source, you were doing it all wrong. Looking at the relative search hits for each on their own is absolutely meaningless. You HAVE to superimpose the results (just put a comma between their names in the search bar) and then you get the search results relative to each other.

If you do this, you can see that the conclusions regarding Pac's popularity in the US are bogus:
    http://www.google.com/trends?q=floy...a+hoya&ctab=0&geo=us&geor=all&date=all&sort=1

Pac get's more search traffic Change the ranking, to see Floyd's most popular regions.

Export the csv file for the countries and you will see that Pac get's 40% more of the search percentage.

Seriously, if you do drugs in Singapore, you're taking your life in your own hands.

You can get 10 years hard labour, in Singapore, just for possession of small amounts.

Yeah man, if you ever go to Singapore, don't even consider breaking any laws. Like even minor ones. You'll get put in prison.

You get a $3'000 fine, in Singapore, just for drinking a can of coke on a bus!

    I agree 100%

Just saying, the theory that Pacquiao has more interest than Mayweather is false

Both have high levels of interest when they fight. And next to no interest when they don;t

This is not relevant at all.

The stats I've posted shows each fighters 5 most popular periods, over the last decade, and the number of hits, and where they come from.

The reason Pacquiao gets more hits over the last 12 months, is because fighter interest peaks when they actually fight.

The tables show, that when both fighters fight, they get the same interest

You "read an article". This guy gives you the direct data. You say "that's funny". Then you probably don't even get what is horribly wrong with your reasoning.

    Typical.

Wrong. FMJ (or Pac) make the same amount of money from people buying fights to see them win or lose. So "hatred" does pay. Also, why do you think the saying was originated, "All publicity is good publicity?"

Manny is the most popular, but he just CONSISTENTLY can't generate the same revenue for his fights either in gate or PPV. You have to love the logic.

I've said this for a while.

Manny is more popular, probably in total fans. And in the media.

But fans who buy fights? It's got to be Floyd

He's much more popular than Pacquiao in two key markets

    Mexico and the UK

What I'm saying is, they sold 800k PPVs in the UK for Mayweather vs. Hatton

The same as the ENTIRE total for Pacquiao vs. Hatton

As I said, Mayweather sells a lot of money as he does well in key markets

Manny is hugely popular in Phillipines and the UAE

Mayweather edges it in the states.

    It's about even in Mexico

    Mayweather edges it in Canada

    Mayweather dominates in Ireland

    Mayweather dominates in the UK

What I'm saying, is, when you add up the number of fans, Pacquiao freaking destroys him.

But when you add up the number of fans, who live in places that buy PPV television, he loses out
