Floyd in pretty much unknown in continent Europe, except among boxing fans. His fights barely gets space in printed media and even Valuev is more famous.

The only proof from blood tests Manny has taken is that he doesn't have hepatitus. Scheduled **** tests are easily bypassed by athletes. No need to get in a drug discussion. The man will get caught eventually.

    Huh?
Using the link you provided Pac has a higher rating than PBF even during when they both fight.

Pac also hits higher in the US and Mexico overall - including media.

So you are implying it is better to be ignorant than to actually do some research of important boxing figures.

This is like making fun of the kid in class because he brought his books to class.

outside of mayweather / pacquiao / donaire, most other top boxers aren't even rated on google because of the low search count.
they're not boxing fans, just pinoy fans at best.

    Edit.
Actually no , nevermind, they're just Pacquiao fans not boxing fans

    Who the **** cares??
Many popular sports - be NBA, NFL and MLB have drive-by fans. You don't see a Laker fans complaining about drive-by Heat fans.

And where do you think majority of those revenues are coming from? Hard core boxing fans probably accounts for a small percentage of it.

Do you know who made ODLH the biggest star in boxing? No not hardcore fans (especially many of them hated him). It was girls!!

They where the one buying front row tickets to his fights, buying airplane, hotel, food and other Vegas services. This drove casino hotel earnings up, thus increasing ODLH and his OPPONENTS purses (aka Pac and PBF).

So don't be this ignorant 'hardcore' fan. Without casual fans you would be watching most boxing fights in 240kbps YouTube video instead of HD PPV.

Popular figures like ODLH with their MASSIVE CASUAL fans following bring in NEW hard core fans and allow others to be exposed. You think PBF would be this popular if not for ODLH casual fans?

Tyson did the same. So did Ali. So did SRL.

Of course it is relevent. This is all about comparison, hence overlaying the data to get the relative popularity is absolutely critical. Otherwise the search index tells us very little at all. I'm sure you must understand that we are both using exactly the same data, but by posting them seperately like you did we lose much of the comparability.

The graphs that I posted go back to 2004 like yours did, except mine actually shows the relative quantity of search hits. If you look at the results, you can see that the peaks for Pac's fights over the last couple of years gave higher search hits than Floyd's two fights in the last two years. Even Floyds fight against Hatton in 2007 registered fewer hits than Pac's v Clottey according to the data that we are BOTH using.

How exactly are you coming to the conclusion that they are generating the same interest.

Of course I limited the search to the US only that time, I was responding to your reply to another poster talking about the most popular atheletes in the US. Why on earth would I not restrict it to the US for that? Should I restrict it to the Ivory Coast instead? Would that make more sense?
