Hey all, been a Ring magazine subscriber for years and years. And I know these threads are all over but how bout a ring mag top 8 super mids tourney by going off the recent ring ratings:

    1) Benavides vs 8) Ryder

    4) Dirrell vs 5) Alvarez

    3) Plant vs 6) Saunders

    2) Ramirez vs 7) Truax

Benavidez, Canelo, Plant and Zurdo win. Benavidez most likely to win whole thing.

I like the idea but you are not including the Ring Magazine Champion at Super Middleweight Callum Smith. A tourney involving the top 8 in Ring Magazine Rankings at Super Middleweight (right up to date so excluding Ramirez) would be as follows:

    A. (C) Callum Smith v (7) John Ryder
    B. (3) Anthony Dirrell v (4) Canelo Alvarez

Winners of fights A and B meet in semi final.

    C. (1) David Benavidez v (6) Caleb Truax
    D. (2) Caleb Plant v (5) Billy Joe Saunders

Winners of fight C and D meet in semi final.

    My predictions are as follows:

    Smith beats Ryder on points
    Canelo beats Dirrell by stoppage
    Benavidez beats Truax by stoppage
    Plant beats Saunders on points

    Semi Finals

    Canelo beats Smith by stoppage
    Benavidez beats Plant by stoppage

    Final

    Canelo beats Benavidez on points

Zurdo is a light heavyweight and you forgot Jacobs.
