This was a real possibilty after Naz's fight with Kevin Kelly and I just wondered how most people would see tis fight going? On paper looks like an exciting fight!

Naz hits way too hard and Gatti is too easily hit. I love Gatti but this is a no brainer I think.

If they were the same size, then I'd pick Hamed with little hesitation.

But they're not. Gatti was a huge 130, while Hamed was a midget even by featherweight standards. He probably could've stayed at the lower weights if he wanted to (and had the work ethic).

    Gatti was a huge 130lb

    Hamed was a small 126lb

Gatti I would say, but in a P4P matchup, Hamed any day of the week. If he had the work ethic he would have made 122 easily

In '98? Dude Naz trained in '98. When i said 'Naz, KO11' thats what i was taking into account. Naz was a small 126, i agree with the Brawler there but in '98 Naz was focused and determined. Then add his raw power and yes it would be a little harder than what he was doing at that point but at that point, Naz, KO11.

are you guys sure they were both at 126 and 130 at the same time?

I thought hamed only fought at 126 for barrera and maybe one other fight or so.

Wouldnt Hamed have been at like 122 or 118 when Gatti was at 130?

I am thinking there is enough size difference to make this largely in Gatti's favor.

someone who is not as lazy as me should do a boxrec

When Hamed was probably at his peak at 126, Gatti was at 130.

Hamed had a pretty good chin and very elusive...on top of that he had bombs. The guy apparently KD Johny Nelson in sparring so I dont think the size difference would bother him too much.

Too much difference in class IMO, Gatti was a C level fighter, at naz's best he was an A.
