What Torres wrote hapened when Mike was still a teen, when D'Amato was alive ( he passed away before Mike won the title at 17).
D'Amato even predicted women would be Tyson's downfall.
    How right was he.

Teddy Atlas is a goofy ****er. That being said, Mike Tyson is a convicted sexual predator. Mike Tyson was not your typical 16 year old. He was holding his own in the ring with men at the age of 12. I doubt seriously that what he tried to do to the young girl was an innocent case of grab ass. I have no problem with what Teddy Atlas did to protect his loved ones.

Not trying either to defend Atlas for everything he did.

I remember Lalonde mentioning how Atlas berated him for not giving enough in training, when in fact Lalonde's shoulder was the problem. This should have been adressed by him, and i believe to this day Atlas still doesn't own to the facts.

But i expected better from Richardson? than this old gun story.

**** Teddy. What nazim was saying was, he is a real man and would have went straight up with Tyson, unlike Teddy who likes to talk about how tough he is and backs it up with a gun. Teddy threw the first stone and deserved what nazim said. Teddy is a jealous ***** who still lives with the fact Tyson succeeded professionally without him and he bases his own career on what he did 25 years ago in Team Tyson when Mike was an amateur. Damn, teddy was proven to have lied in his own book that he won the Golden Gloves tournament. He's a douche and an ego maniac. If what Tyson did was so bad that he felt the need to threaten Mike with a gun, then he should have had him arrested.

I believe protecting your loved one's is more important than showing how tough you are.
    But i might be wrong.

No one is trying to defend Teddy's words. It's just that Richardson showed poor judgement himself in his response.

    That might be true.

That's exactly what should have hapened.
As Tyson already had runins with the law, another conviction would have put him behind bars for some time.
D'Amato and Cayton wouldn't allow the golden goose to flee, so they paid $$ to who mattered and pulled all the stops until Mike became a star; that meant Sacking Atlas who had objected to Mike's preferential treatment; Atlas knew Mike needed somebody to teach him how a man should behave not only IN the ring, but OUTSIDE of it too.

Tyson's trainers only cared about the athlete, not the person.
Look how Mike's personal life has turned out and tell me who was right between d'Amato and Teddy...

Margarito was poor, and Shane is part of the wealthy elite. Tony had every right to attempt manslaughter, don't you remember the LA riots discussion? :nut

I bet the powers that be find a way to 'soften' the allegations. Money talks
