There's nothing wrong with it, as it relaxes the muscles and makes you a little looser, but many trainers don't incorporate it before a big fight, because they don't want their fighter to lose a warm-up, or get too relaxed where they feel lazy. It's a superstitious kind of belief I think. I remember Emanuel Steward was blaming a hearns loss on the fact somebody messaged his legs before he fought Leonard I believe.

I never thought Chavez had a chance but I bought into the hype and I did enjoy my margaritas & friends company. Taking nothing away from Canelo but is Nacho past it? Why not have Zaragoza (great fighter not sure as him as a trainer but have seen clips holding pads) be head trainer of Romanza and Nacho giving some tips? I mentioned in another thread about Roach may need to retire...Mayweather Sr may need to consider this too. Not sure if Nacho will ever have a fight like Marquez v PAC 4 again. I think that could have been the perfect time for him to call it a day imo
