No difference I am afraid . He has his game plan, and will not adapt.

    Hatton Mayweather Snr II.

Nacho will correct mistakes and Maidana has some tools under the radar that can be worked such as the jab, the well timed overhand right and I guess adaptation, but he won't change styles or become a different fighter in any way. Style will stay or will give away his strength if B starts messing with it.

Interesting how a Beristain fighter, Marquez, pulled out of a fight with Erik Morales......only for another Beristain fighter, Maidana, to step in.

    Coincidence?

I like the fact that he knows its time to go "all in" and get busy living, or get busy dieing.

He is getting a lot of attention and its now or never.

A lot of guys hang on to old trainers too long out of loyalty, even after they outgrow what that trainer can offer them.

I dont think Beristain can make any drastic changes in Maidana. He needs a good 2 years to see any kind of results. Maidana i thing is a better fit with joe goosen or Roach. Khan would do better under Beristain then roach imo

Marquez pulled out before Maidana hired Beristain, so I wouldn't look too much into it. In fact IMO JMM talked to Arum long ago who suggested not to take the Morales fight and extend the Golden Boy contract and he'll get a Pacquiao shot, wheras Erik just demanded Maidana, which was music to GPB's ears as they could fill the April PPV spot. Maidana or Beristain - who was only hired later - hardly had any word in it. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if it was the other way around - Maidana learned that Morales is coming and looked for a solid Mexican trainer to prepare for it. More logical I think.

With Khan no doubt improving under Roach as time goes on, Maidana will be similarly fixing holes and tightening things up under Nacho. I said before I was worried if they met in a rematch Maidana would be at a disadvantage with stunted technical growth at this stage in his career, but if they meet in a rematch the gap in progress won't be so wide. Hopefully this works out.

dont compare nacho to that dying crack *****.

Nacho isn't living off the fame of just ONE of his fighters.

Nacho doesn't teach the same style to all his fighters.

Nacho is going to have to refine and work with Maidana's strenghths, because certainly Maidana is'nt going to become a counterpuncher overnight.

The only bad in this is that this might take away Maidana as a future JMM opponent, kind of a bummer if Maidana happens to beat Morales.

Thanks God if there won't be a JMM-Maidana fight.
