bottom line is Marquez boxing beautifully and tore down the myth that Pac is unstoppable Mayweather kicks his ass if they ever fight, sure manny will have him back peddling and soaking up pressure in moments but it will be school time most of the fight

I've had zero respect for HBO since Lewis-Klitschko, which was worse imo.

Most spanish interpreters dont interpret what someone is saying word for word, and in many instances the translation is nothing like what the spanish speaking person is saying.

What Nacho was heard saying was, "we are winning" be aware and dont get caught by a big shot." (they were very aware that the excuse to give the fight to Pacquiao the first two fights were the knockdowns)

At the start of the 12th this is what Nacho said to Marquez. Be aware, dont get caught.........."Explode, explode, use the speed you worked so hard for. The fight is yours."
Nacho goes on to tell Marquez, 'throw combinations and use your head movement."

This is'nt Nacho telling Marquez to coast, to the contrary, he's asking him to explode with speed and put an exclamation point to the fight.
......and having seen the 12th round again. Neither fighter does much but land a guaging jab here and there.
Lampley spends the round harping that Marquez is'nt doing anything to go out and take it, but he totally blind to the fact that Pacquiao himself who was being told by his corner he needed to put Marquez on his ass in that last round, does nothing to earn it either.

For that 12th round, I had a note on my card that it could easily be scored even with a slight edge for Marquez.
My thinking when I was watching it live was that Pacquiao needs a knockout to win and he needed to come out guns blazing to try to do it (his own corner was telling him he was behind.).....but Pacquiao was to leary of getting caught by the hard counters Marquez had consistently caught him with previously and never pressed the round as he should have.

The intent by Marquez in that final round was to use his speed of combinations when Pacquiao pressed him, but that did'nt happen, Pacquiao just waltz toward him with no urgency what so ever and likley hesitant not to get hit with the counters.

He did say it earlier than that. I believe it's somewhere within the last third of the fight.

Yep, the Nacho thing about him telling Marquez to coast is HBO's way to have someone to blame for the travesty that was about to occur.
HBO wanted that crutch, "hey, it was Nacho's instruction that led to Marquez giving away the last two rounds."

Nacho is telling Marquez in those late rounds "we're ahead" but he never tells Marquez to stop fighting. To the contrary Nacho is telling Marquez to "be alive, keep on using your speed of combinations but be careful not to get caught."

.....that to me is'nt telling Marquez to shutdown.

And that's the dumbest thing to tell a fighter who is fighting a fighter HE think robbed him the first two times.
