I sound like an authority rebel and I am but money/politics talks and nice guys walk, especially among trainers .

So this means Marquez is definitely moving up to 140.

It was a gay move, he wants Macho Nacho's undivided attention.

It would have been better for Nacho to train Maidana knowing he would likely have to choose JMM over him, and then dump him when a fight with Marquez came up. Everyone is worse off; JMM showed Maidana an inside peak, Nacho gets criticized for training someone to beat someone he intimately trained, and Maidana has to find a new camp altogether.

It was VERY unprofessional to do it the way they did with them going all the way to Mexico only to be rejected, but all in all it was probably the better decision.

Marquez is not fighting Maidana, or else it would be him instead of Morales fighting Maidana for a 140 title in April.

So Marquez will never fight Maidana because he's not fighting him right this second?

He's clearly a legitimate opponent within the top ranks that Marquez may find in his way towards a title shot at 140.

A big loss for Nacho! I wish Maidana could train with Roach.

I'm interested to see what his next move is. If reports are true that he is not fighting in April because that would've required him to re-sign with GBP, then I expect him to go straight for Pac when his contract runs out. I think he will retire or go back to 135 after that. If he had intentions of fighting at 140, which would've been the best way to further his prospects for a Pac fight if he remains with GBP, he had opportunities to fight GBP fighters Khan and Maidana but didn't take them. Doesn't look like the actions of a guy who wants to campaign there. Could be wrong, guess we'll have to see.

Good move by marquez. Would make a good side story if they did fight. Maidana versus nacho and marquez, for pulling a dick move.

You're overrating Marquez too much. Btw, how much PPVs did he generate in his last fight w/ katsidis? 5,000? And he has the gall to ask for $5M. :rofl
