JMM is not asking Berenstein to not train anyone else. He just asked Nacho to not train a guy he might fight in the NEAR future.

Nacho can develop as many fighters as he wants, but if he's going to develop a fighter who might end up fighting his #1 Employer, than I say JMM has every right to protest.

You don't know JMM then. JMM fights anyone. JMM goes into a division and fights the best. If being #1 means fighting and beating the best, then rest assured Maidana, Ortiz, Khan are all likely opponents for Marquez at 140.

Exactly. That did Maidana and the Boxing World a favor.

We want good untainted matchups. No need for them to be in the same gym until AFTER a fight is not possible. When JMM is proven to have no chance at 140? Go for it Nacho. Until then? Respect your star.

Another question... Why is Maidana always in the middle of so many "he said/she said" dust ups? :think

You must be stupid to think that every fighter fights everybody. He won't fight KHan, for christsakes. Even Beristein would not allow it.

He won't fight Humberto Soto either.

At this stage of his career, he is looking for a big payday.

You still think that he has the luxury of fighting young guys with no finacial reward but high risk?

Cassmajor was the linear lightweight champion when Juan Manuel moved up to lightweight. He fought him and stopped him. Campbell was never ''THE '' man at 135. Pac mobed up and fought Dvia Diaz for a paper title . Marquez fights the best in whatever division. He had the balls to move up two divisions and fight Floyd. Something pac is unwilling to do . LIke him or not, give him his just dues ! As for Soto, he has looked poor at 135 . Juan Manuel would beat him . Maybe a good fight, but JMM has way more at 135 than does Soto.!!

He could have a good excuse of not fighting maidana. He blew it. If Maidana calls him out, he would no face to accept it. Otherwise, he is a ducker.
