Nacho: Marquez Has To Survive Early Pacquiao Rounds

Yep, he doesn't know how to deal with guys going backwards. Difference was Marquez made those steps back subtle wheres Mosley did it in way that was clear for all to see.

 

If JMM vs MP is going to look like SSM vs MP obviously MP will dominate JMM. SSM got height & reach over MP while back pedaling but still MP was able to tagged him because of foot speed which was also lacking during his 2nd fight with JMM. MP is much more improved now that's why JMM is training early because deep down team JMM knows this is a much more patient & technical MP.

........When a fighter is 38 years old, especially in the lighter weights, thats ancient.
Though Marquez has shown to still be capable, you dont count on a 38 year old to be sharp and on his game every time out.

Consistency is one of the attributes that older athletes lose. Because of age and wear and tear, you dont feel the same from day to day, and you're certainly not as sharp as you used to be.

Can Marquez do it? Absolutely. I still feel that there is still a sizeable skill level disparity between Marquez and Pacquiao.
The only question becomes will Marquez at his age show up and be sharp on the night and then have the stamina to fight at a high pace vs a fighter like Pacquiao that has'nt lost anything physically and stamina wise from when they last fought.

I dont know where you *******s get this that Nacho has to give Pacquiao props.......
Nacho has done nothing but give Pacquiao props.
In fact, when he was training DLH for Pacquiao he voiced that DLH had to take Pacquiao seriously and not be confident in the fact he was the much bigger fighter.

Nacho from the start viewed the Pacquiao fight as a hard fight for DLH.......and in Pacquiao's subsequent fights ever since, Nacho has picked Pacquiao to win everytime.

Hatton, Clottey, Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, .......Nacho picked Pac to win in every one of those matchups.

 

Nacho has given PAC a lot of props since the DLH loss. I think he respects PAC as a fighter and knows what he's capable of. Nacho is a great trainer...under appreciated but within the sport everyone knows the man's a genius. He's cultivated many GREAT mexican fighters from kids, to world champions and he broke mold of the stigma that ALL mexican's fight one way. All of his fighters have been great boxers with great offenseive and defensive skills.

 

Yeah after the Oscar loss is when Nacho starts giving props to Pacquiao. Before you will never see Nacho giving props to Pac.

 

Right.... Nacho really thought his fighter beat him 2 times as did many others. Of course both fights were hella close so I can understand his opinion as the man who trained JMM. But PAC earned Nacho's respect in the DLH fight for sure...

 

Nacho also claimed Oscar wasn't as weight drained as people think. Pacquiao being the better man, was the reason why the fight was as one-sided as it was. Maybe that's him covering his own back as Oscar's trainer, or he's genuinely giving Pacquiao his props.

Even before the DLH fight took place, before even the Marquez rematch took place, Nacho would call Pacquiao a whirlwind and a physical phenomena, "a nightmare of a fighter that can throw punches from any and all angles."

Alot of you *******s now did'nt even live the Pacquiao era before the DLH fight and so it not surprising that you all would be clueless.

I've said it many times, this fight is taking place 3 years and two weight classes too late.
