I would think if it were sour grapes he'd have more to gripe about with manny given the closeness of their fight. If he chose Floyd over manny he could say "Floyd is the best fighter bar none, and the way dominated JMM was b/c Floyd is on some other level that no one else is on". With him picking Manny it surprised me b/c I thought he'd surely side with Floyd given the schooling he recieved when JMM moved up to Welter weight. I agree this is a toss up fight.. Cna't wait for this one.
The strange thing is Marquez has said he thinks Mayweather would win. You don't often get a fighter and a trainer giving opposite opinions on a fight outcome when they've been up against both. Maybe they've got a bet on it, the loser drinks the others **** or something.:huh
:rofl:rofl any....Right! Well.....I think Roach said that Floyd would be Shane and PAC said Shane would probably get the KO. So I guess it does happen on occassion but I figured the same....JMM and Nacho would have the same view.
Ah.. I swear mofos have a ******ed memory span. He said the same **** prior to the Marquez/Mayweather fight. But what is more funny.. every common opponent has said Floyd would win without hesitation. Except maybe Castillo but he was just a sparring partner. LOL
JMM seems to have more confidence in his abilities up at the higher weights than Nacho does. JMM thought PBF was a good idea, Nacho was against it from the start. JMM was good to go agains Khan, Nacho thinks JMM will just be a stepping stone for Khan. I think Pac wasnt confident about DLH, but Roach convinced him he can. Roach was confident about Foreman, but Pac thought he would be too tall and akward.
The way I see it Nacho has always despised Floyd and seeing him outclass JMM just intensified Nacho's disdain for Floyd. As you can see by the pic that someone has posted, Nacho's displeasure, although in a somewhat comical light, is clearly evident. I mean c'mon, he says Pac will win because he is the more "exciting" fighter?! Lol. That pretty much says it all.
JMM fought Pac at FW/SFW to a standstill whereas he was embarrassed by PBF at WW, I can see why he would think PBF wins. DLH is PBF's promoter. Hatton thinks he was winning against Pac in the 2nd round by a "country mile"
DLH, Ricky and JMM all feel that Floyd would beat manny but remember ALL of them hav been picking AGAINST PAC after loosing to him. DLH, Ricky and JMM have all went against Manny since loosing. DLH said Hatton would be Manny...he said Cotto would beat Manny and even thought Josh was going to beat him. Hatton the same thing except for josh....JMM has said PAC would loose to ALL the Welter weights he has faced after beating him for the 2nd time. They all seem to pick against Manny even moreso than picking against Floyd. It is kind of weird but I don't fault them. Floyd is a great boxer and is difficutl for anyone...but then again so is Manny.
Yes but Pacquiao has never been in there with either Mayweather or Mosley so he doesn't have the same viewpoint that Marquez or Nacho have about Floyd and Pac. Roach has been in the corner against May but I'm not sure if he has against Shane.
No.. JMM gave his point. He said Pac just punches.. which he does. JMM was able to figure out Pac's bull**** ABC 123 approach and counter it. Maybe he seen Floyd out smart him in the ring and counter his counters and maybe he thinks Floyd would dice Pac up without getting tagged in return as much as he was(being that Floyd has a way better defense). You can take it your ******* way.. or the real life way.
:good I think Nacho said PAC should win b/c he is more extraordinary than the Shane we saw a couple weeks back. Of course Manny is more exciting but I think he was pointing to the fact that Manny has more attributes and a style that will be a problem for Floyd...which it will be.....the question is will it be enough for him to beat Floyd...or vice versa b/c Floyds style is a nightmare for anyone...including Manny.
There was a peice or Article DLH did with the LA times talking about his endeavours outside of the sport and they asked him about the Josh vs PAC fight and he said that he wouldn't be surprised to see Manny win but thinks Josh maybe too big. I'll look for that interview w/Sky....thanks for the info.
