I think it's safe to say at this point it's become compulsive gambling for Pacquiao. He had already gotten his chance to redeem himself after that embarrassing outcome in the 3rd fight. The PI's president might as well pay JMM to literally kill Pacquiao in his homeland.

Well, Marquez never had any second thoughts visiting the country when he was begging for a second rematch.

is there a link to this story and did you try to find a secondary source??

...and if philippines invest 20mil into making the fight, don't you think they'll make it back from the money infused to the economy plus some gate receipts? Clearly, this offer to host the fight is meant to attract tourist in the region.

And that's cool and all for you as a fan, but WTF is JMM thinking not wanting to fight Pac again? When you get offered a king's ransom to rematch some guy you just knocked to the moon, you say YES.

He should demand the fight happen in Mexico city on Cinco de Mayo for a 60/40 split in his own favor, and that the President of the Phillipines has to publicly kiss him on the ass and place a jeweled crown upon his head first.

He should be making ridiculous demands and make everyone suck his dick. He should flop his balls out on Arum's desk and make him drink a warm cup of his own **** to get that fight. And then when he's gotten everything he wanted, take the fight and win anyway.

The Philippines is one of the poorest 3rd world countries in the world. This one is one of the most corrupt countries globally. It has one of the most established system of oligarchy. Philippines itself CANNOT afford this but the ones running it is a NO SHOCKER to be able to AFFORD IT. $20M is still very cheap compared to how much they have stolen from the country.

They already found a way to make more money through cigarrettes. But of course, it won't reach the gov't tax money
