Nacho managed to sign one of Mexico's top amateurs to a promotional contract. The fighters name is Rey Giovanni Vargas who has won the national bantam weight championship 3 yrs consecutively and won the feather weight division this past year. He also recently won the Panamerican Championship that was recently hosted in Mexico. He was expected to go to the Olympics, however, he has now opted to turn pro. The kid has shown incredible ko power in the amateur division as well as skill. His father will continue to train him, and Nacho will handle the rest. My concern is that Nacho although a brilliant trainer is a horrible manager. This kid is not really compared to anybody, but he is supposedly more complete than Abner Mares.
Nacho is a great trainer, but I agree that he is a horrible manager. Hopefuly, he learned from past mistakes and does well Managing this prospect.
This could be one of the biggest myths on these forums. I would educate you but its a long story and im not in the mood.
I understand that the terms offered were not very good...but to walk away from that fight just pissed me off
