"I am a witness that he did not have problems with his weight and he was not dried out from the vapors [of a sauna]. During that time he had a nutritionist by his side who took charge of his weight and diet. But at the time of the fight he couldn't do things well. He couldn't deal with the versatility of Pacquiao"- Nacho "The Filipino is tremendous. I insisted that he walk to Pacquiao’s left side, but he insisted on walking to the other side, towards the right, and only managed to put himself in the line of fire. The fact is, because of Pacquiao’s mobility he couldn’t find him.” - Nacho :deal
Of course he would say that, if he said it was the weight that would put responsibility on him for drying Oscar out so early. It was clear it had an impact on his performance.
What do you think he can say? That it was his fault?Offcourse not,a blind man could see Oscar was weak, skinny as hell and didn't have the size advabtage most people were giving him the victory reason.
You realise that if he brings up Oscar being past it and the weight etc., he decreases his fighter's marketability and puts responsibility on himself, right? He's giving Pac credit, and deservedly so, but I can't imagine a trainer blaming the weight... regardless of the truth to it.
Both really. How is the nutritionist to know that making weight so early is detrimental? That's Nacho's job. And Oscar should've known better too.
did you watched 24/7 hbo?? weeks before the fight oscar was on target weight. so weight issue is not valid.
Oscar doesn't fight tall anyway and in this fight didn't use the jab at all.Saying that the weight wasn't an advantage is stupid. He should have been at least 10 lbs over Pacquiao on fight night, maybe then his punches could make Pac respect him.
{Something to think about} you think the DLH that went toe to toe with prime Mosley would have lost to Pac last Saturday?
