"Sources close to the information have informed us that Nacho Beristain will be replacing Miguel Diaz as head trainer of jr. welterweight contender Marcos Maidana. The move comes as somewhat of a surprise considering that Maidana has been tabbed to replace Juan Manuel Marquez, also trained by Beristain, for a April 9th showdown with Mexican legend Erik Morales..Source ***********e
Thats ****ed, like Maidana needs a top level trainer to beat old fat morales. Thats also ****ed that nacho would train him for that fight against a legend, he has no shame
I have no problem with that. That's his choice, his decision. I just hope Nacho being a very sound trainer can help him improve on what he is missing in his future fights.
. . . that's just your insinuation bruh . . . as if it was Nacho who applied for the job and presented himself to Maidana. :yep
this is awesome im very interested in seeing how maidana is going to improve with professor beristain in his corner
Yup . . . I want to see Maidana against other good opponents under Nacho's rein and see what improvement there's gonna be.
I wouldnt underestimate Morales in this fight. He obviously not as strong, but Morales is still the smrter fighter and his jab is still intact. Maidana has struggled against every quality fighter he has faced including another fighter who was considered "done", Corley. Plus, hes had a few straight tough fights so that may have taken something out of him. I favor Maidana, but it could be interesting.
