Correction: Valero made him washed up. Pitalua did have 14 straight wins by KO but he was scared as hell when he realised what he was up against.

Why are his opponents if not cab drivers -- senior citizens? Can't they find a decent fighter? :hat

I knew that Valero can beat Pitula. He won be KO but Pitula is not an elite. Even DDiaz can beat him. If Valero fights Marquez or Pacquiao, he seriously get into trouble and his career might end early. I'm not sure if Marquez can beat Valero but, I'm favoring Marquez because his speed and skill is greater than Valero. Anyway, congratulations to Valero. It was a good win.

I've always dissed you for making valero looked like an elite fighter......And after last night, I still believe he is not at the top level yet....But dang, he looks like the old pacquiao with power in both hands..If some trainer could polish his defense, footworks and lateral movements, i think he could be as good as pac or even better....:good

Coming off a knockout win of Santa Cruz the fight right before this shows Pitalua was at least decent even though he's not top class. Valero getting rid of him like that was pretty impressive- I didn't expect him to finish the job that soon.

i think he needs to fight at least 2 more times this year to really up his rep. i dont think JMM will take the fight, not out of being scared but its a money issue. I have a sneaky feeling he will be PBF's comeback fight.

Isnt valero obligated to carry on the lightweight lightning tournament?

LOL! Good win for Valero but do not over hype him.

Just look at how he fights, no head movement, feet are just stationary when throwing flurries, body is stiff...

Heck even with those fast flurries, Marquez can counter then all night long and stop it.

Pac can evade all those punches and outspeed and outwork him on a trade.

Hatton would probably just take it all in without bothering.

Valero may be good but not YET PROVEN, it's just a stepping stone. He still has a long way to go like the rest of everyone before they became the elite ones.

Valero is a confident and special fighter. He has every right to b e with that kind of record and power but reality is that he has a few MAJOR flaws offensively and deffensively that a novice can see. Much of which has to do with him relying so much on his power. PAC, JMM and Hatton wouldn't be scared either like 99 percent of his opposition are. I think he is improving and can compete withe the top guys right now.... But win? Nah...not with his footwork, lack of head movement and at times wild offense. JMM would have some trouble early on as he did recently with Diaz as would Hatton but would end up winning in the later rounds by KO. But I love the fact he wants to test himself ala PAC early on when he first got with Freddie. Go Edwin! He'll make so noise as long as he works on getting more polished.
