In a way threads like this are indicative of how great wlad actually is.

As usual the thread has descended into vitali v lewis.

To improve vitali's standing people have to reflect upon the last great champion we had: lewis. We have to reflect upon how valiant vitali's losing effort was.

(Amongst the hate it gets forgotten just how good a brutal war that fight was)

It's a disservice to wlad being "lumped" in as just a "k bro". Wlad has established his legacy, it seemed ridiculous at the time that he'd become the next dominant heavyweight after lewis but it's happened. His place in history is set because he's cleaned out his division and established dominance in a way noone predicted. I mean aside from his own brother he's either beaten or indirectly beaten everyone out there.

The problem is vitali, his legacy is suffering because he took 4 years out and his absence his brother dominated. Instead vitali's legacy will be as a h2h monster who maybe was the best of his era but could never prove it because he would never fight with his brother (duh). So vitali's legacy then gets based on the fact he has never been behind on the cards and he's "never been beaten clearly" which is obviously where the lewis debate comes into play. I've made my peace with it. Awesome war, legitimate stoppage.

Noone has to argue about wlad because he's done what he's done. His place in history is sealed. He shaped the naughties with lewis as a dominant heavyweight.

The Klitschko's have beaten many undefeated boxers in their prime. Some of whom were near legends as Amatuers. If you look at the win-loss record of their last 20 opponents, its probably better than any heavyweight champion has ever faced in that time period. If some of those opponents had beaten them, they would be immediate A.T.G's.They have made some incredible fighters look ordinary.

The arugment that the haters use to attack today's heavyweights is based on a lie! That lie being a 6'1", 185lb heavyweight of the past with a 45-30-8 record was far superior to an unbeaten 6'5", 250lb heavyweight today. That is a Jimmy Ellis of the past would destory Robert Helenius of today.:nut
And anyone who really believes that is either stupid or crazy IMO...

Ellis was the ray mercer of today.

Chris Byrd is a Top 55 atg heavy. Thats likely wlads best win.

They ( The Klits) haven't beaten credible contenders much less ATG's.

That would be an opinion, not necessarily right, but an opinion. That's what it's about Bernard, opinion and debate. Valid and honest opinions are harder to find in the general don't you think?
Actually come to think of it you've been mentioned in the classic (seriously) as the guy who is full of WTF's,,:yep and :blurp.
It sounds like you may have been burned after messing with the big boys.
    :thumbsup

Yeah convincing argument, and you were the one who noticed it! Well done Sherlock, Lennox must be gutted.
"I would of got away with it too, if it wasn't for that pesky Bremen".
