But Vitali didn't slip and bang his head. Lewis smashed his face as per the rules of the sport!!!

Mate, are you serious? A cut/f*cked up face caused by a series of punches is the objective of the sport!!

Wlad is one of the more dominant champs in history. Not many heavyweights have been the best heavyweight for 5 years running.

But then the critic would say: did they beat an ATG in his prime?

How many atg's did jack dempsey beat? Or how about sonny liston?

Both them two make my top ten and neither of them two hold a victory over a top 15 atg heavyweight.

Sullivan, jeffries and langford make my top 15 and neither of them hold victories over fellow top 15 contenders.

Vitali isn't great yet and the probability is he never will be. But saying wlad isn't great? The guys as dominant as they come.

Who could argue it was a TD victory for Vitali? An ill-informed ******? The cuts were caused by punches therefore it does not go to decision.

I like the Klitschko's but their hardcore fans are unbelievable. They are worse than Filipino Pacquiao fans IMO. They have no interest in any boxers or boxing news outside of the Klitschko's. And they know **** all, other than a blinkered, potted history of the HW division over the last decade or so. That and the height of Ali, Dempsey, Frazier and Marciano.

From now on, I will endeavour not to read any comments with a pizza avatar and I will view avatar pictures of the Klitschko's with suspicion. It's difficult though, reading the comments of these spastics is like picking a scab or watching the aftermath of a car crash. Difficult to stop.

True that. But at the same time: not many HW champs have reigned over a division that has been weak over a period of 5 straight years.

Let's face it: Wlads biggest challenge out there is his own brother. And vice versa. They're standing in each others way. Vitali should retire after Adamek and leave the spotlight to his younger brother. Or they should just fight each other. And why not? They're acting like they're a tag-team, but there are no tag teams in boxing - they should rather view each other as rivals.

Exactly. best post on the thread. I was a big Lewis fan, now I'm a big Klitschko fan. All three champs are atg's in my book. I'd like to see any of them fight, prime vs. prime, any atg fighter that ever lived. Not saying they would have won all those matches, but they would have won their share. All three guys are/were great fighters. They are a credit to the sport.

Yes the Klitchkhos are great fighters and will probably give most great fighters of yesteryear fits however, the fact remains that Vitali got beat by a past prime Lewis on his way out. Now im not a big Lewis fan but one thing i have to admit is he is technically one of the best ever boxers of all time. I would find it hard to find 1 top all-time great to beat him whereas many would beat the Klitchkhos. Apart from Lewis's stupid loses, he always tended to up his game against Elite fighters. The way he destoyed a prime Razor Ruddock was one of the best HW wins ive seen. Lewis had everything.

It has been proven times and again that Lewis thumbed Vitali's eye to cause the cut that eventually stopped the fight. The ref did not see it so Lewis escaped with lucky TKO decision.

    Jack Johnson

    Rocky Marciano

    Larry Holmes

    Mike Tyson

There's 4 ATG Heavyweights that ruled worse divisions that what we have right now. Next question? :D
