    My three would be.......

    # 1 J.D. Chapman 6'5 250
    # 2 Tony Thompson 6'5 245
    # 3 Kali Meehan 6'5 238

Who would put Povetkin in with?

I am not sure any 3 fighters would help him. He would be severe underdog against Wlad anyway, and another problem is that, judging by his recent performances, there is no guarantee he would won all those fights (so he wouldn't be fighting them "before Wlad", rather "instead of").

I would favour Haye over him, and Thompson would be at least toss-up IMO. Still, his chances against them are better than against Wlad.

None...he just needs to go ahead and take his shot. There is nothing he is going to learn from fighting anyone else that is going to prepare him for Klitschko. His shot is slim at best and he runs a real chance of getting knocked off facing fighters the likes of Meehan, Thompson, or even Chapman.

Should?, one sounds reasonable and nothing more, he already beat guys people picked him to lose against in the tournament and earned his shot. If he had to fight one then Haye or Arreola sounds like a good deal to make the Wladimir fight bigger.

He should fight Haye. I think this is a vety logical match up for both. And I think Povetkin can beat Haye. He is very underrated recently on this forum.

Mind as well fight Wlad sooner than later rather than risk losing against a top contender ... and no matter when he gets in the ring with Klitschko he's going to get his face smashed in.

Kahi Meehan.Durable fighter, but out of his shoes in terms of pure skills against Povetkin!

The ideal opponent would be Virchis:slow, hittable, good beard, murderous firepwer, stationary target!

Povetkin would probably outpoint the Ukranian behemoth quite easily, but his chin would be tested.Thats for sure!

He's earned his due and there isn't anyone readily available to prepare him for Wlad.

    Just take the fight.

I agree. Another fight is not going to make a difference for a fight with Wlad

Haye or Arreola would be good for the division... It would distinguish the walkers from the talkers..........
