Ok, so it seems Floyd will fight 6 times more before retiring, that alone is very unlikely going by his age and usual level of activity, but he's also still spewing his ¨I want to retire as GOAT¨ bullcrap (yeah, by fighting the likes of Guerrero you're surely on your way to do it Floyd )

but if he was actually serious, which opponents would he have to beat in his 6 remaining matches, realistically speaking? It's still an achievable feat even if extremely unlikely, or is already too late for Mayweather's ambitions?

There is no shot @ "GOAT".
But Mayweather's overall ranking would take a boost IF he somehow pulled these 6 fights in a row win/lose.

    Guererro
    Alexander/Brook (Winner)
    Trout/Alvarez (Winner)
    A Rematch agaisnt (Trout/Alvarez)
    Bradley
    Pacquiao (Send off, Corpse edition)

It's too late for floyd to achieve any of that he has consistently cherry picked his opponents.

For example, there's a big difference in fighting a pre margarito cotto and a battle weary post margarito post manny beatdown cotto.

Also he faced marquez before marquez adjusted to the weight hell he even came in overweight it's the details like this which stop mayweather ever becoming some goat.

The goat faces everyone in each weight class when they are at their most dangerous and primed not wait for them to look bad or be in wars first.

    Greatest of all time.?!

He'd still need to do a hell of a lot.

    Pacquiao, Martinez, Canelo, Bradley perhaps..

Who else is there that could add to his resume? Ward is up there, p4p, but he's way too big.
Adding Khan and Garcia would help. While they're not P4P, they're world class boxers.

so he should have fought the 39 year old Marquez instead of the 36 year old one?

He'd only need Lebedev and Chambers.
Add Wlad to it and Floyd wouldn't even appear in lists anymore cause it wouldn't be debateable.

Manny Pac, Alvarez (if he ends up becoming a legend, Bradley (I see him as potentially becoming a HOF'er), Golovkin and Martinez at Middleweight.

    That ought to do it.

He needs a time machine... and not just to go back and fight Leonard, Hearns, etc, but to go back 5 years ago when he decided to retire instead of fight guys like Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, Williams, etc. Not saying there exactly the greats of the sport, but when the WW division was the hottest in all of boxing... Floyd left.
As for what he could do today. He'd have to fight Pac, winner of Alvarez/ Trout, Martinez, maybe Golovkin depending where he was, and he'd have to move to 168 and beat Andre Ward. As rediculous as all that is... That'd be the ultimate path, and he still wouldn't be GOAT. I'd probably rank him top 10 though.

No that is totally JMM's fault for taking the fight but that doesn't mean mayweather should get full kudos for that victory hell I can go on and on the guy even waited for Hatton to look bad before fighting him and lets not get in to catch weights.

The goat fights champions at their peak end of story.

You see Golovkin adding much to his resume? He's yet to really do anything noteworthy in the game in my eyes. Maybe in the future, but he needs to get some big names under his belt quickly. He's already 30.

In order to be universally known as the GOAT?

    Canelo
    Martinez
    Ward
    Cleverly
    Haye
    Wlad

It would take him doing that to get his haters to recognize him as the GOAT. His haters are that ridiculous.
