Really, in the entire history of boxing. You would rate him clearly in the top 10 H2H against anyone and he isnt great? Lets get real now anyone in the top 10 of any division h2h can be considered great.

    :rofl

Love the "Vitali would handle Bowe therefore that right away excludes Evander." Beyond ignorant, not even worth responding to.

So you are using some of your own definition of a HW that is the same size that has the same skills and accomplishments as Vitali and would beat him in the ring?

Then you throw an insult in because your a ****ing idiot that cant make an argument. You have been served by the Dr.

Brunos fighting style was very similar to Vitalis in that they both stand bolt upright and use the jab effectively except Bruno probably hit harder and had the abilty to throw hooks and uppercuts.

I would clearly favor Vitali over Holyfield in a h2h match. Holyfield would be at far too many disadvantages. Holy is an amazing fighter that was always under sized and had incredible winning spirit. The difference in this fight would be too much for Evander and his doesnt have the punchers chance that Tyson would early.

Bruno was very chinny, way worse than even Wlad. Vitali would have him out of there inside of 3 rounds in his prime.

Styles make fights. Just because Bowe beat Holyfield two out of three doesn't mean VK can beat Holyfield.

A prime Lewis wins via TKO or KO.

A prime Holmes was a complete badass. He either wins clear UD or via late TKO.

    Agreed on your Tyson comments.

Foreman is probably the worst opponent for VK from a style standpoint. Foreman mauls him early.

Good post and I largely agree with you. I would rate LL as the best h2h fighter ever. Likely the best, strongest hw ever in terms of h2h. Holmes could win a decision, but thats not guarenteed. Vitali doesnt drop a lot of rounds. In fact, I bet he lost a lot fewer rounds than Holmes ever did. I think this would be a very competitive fight and definitely go to the cards unless Vitali got cut, which is a real possibility. I see holmes as a toss up honestly.

I agree on foreman, he is terribly troublesome for anyone. So we are at LL, Foreman and possibly Holmes.

Hmm, very difficult to look at it that way because who knows what a 38yr old Ali would have looked like if he boxed today with modern training techniques and nutrition- easier to compare prime to prime I think.

I get what you're saying with Vitali's injuries, I don't feel that we ever got to see his true prime which is a shame. The best I think he ever looked was against Lewis, Sanders and Williams but Lewis was in poor shape and it's difficult to draw conclusions from the other 2 since they weren't at that real elite level

Bruno was never knocked out with one punch,if you look at his defeats it was usually a combination of about 15 punches that would leave him staggering on the ropes but still on his feet.

Brunos chin was actually very good its a shame that when he was in trouble he never went down for a count to clear his head for a few seconds.

I look at Vitali and he looks like a white version of Bruno but with less power.

Nope. I'm saying Vitali looks good against short fat heavy weights that are scared shitless to walk forward because they don't belong at HW.

Shannon Briggs would be able to stand there and give a better account of himself than todays crop of joke HW's, and that's saying something.

You still never justified your position of saying there are heavyweights out there the size of vitali that have a better skill set. I dont believe there has ever been anyone Vitali's size that has a better skill set. This is what makes him such a miserable match up h2h. He has massive size and is pretty athletic for beign 6'8.

He fought two close fights with Lewis past his prime. Holyfield's accuracy, timing, and chin trouble Vitali.

For a second time, when I said the same size, I meant a big heavyweight, not a 6'2 guy.

The guy's Vitali has been fighting are small. I'm not just talking about height. I'm talking about physicality. Big guys like George, Lennox, Holmes, Bruno. Men with a physical presence, not a damn blown up Cruiserweight.
