So Holmes could only work the jab against smaller guys? Perhaps you missed the Cooney fight? :patsch

And you think Foreman is slow, plodding, and predictable? Sorry to pile on Gerry Cooney, but perhaps Cooney knew exactly what Foreman was going to do - problem is, he couldn't do a damn thing about it. :deal

Perhaps VK is the best of a weak era. But you really need to get off the guys nuts.

Its funny that you say that, Vitali fought and LOST to an inactive 38 yr old Lewis who was clearly out of shape yet people think thats a good accomplishment.

Yes, how dare Lewis injure Vitaly with his fists. Goes totally against the sport of boxing doesn't it?

Has any fighter ever been KO'd without being injured?

In that reality, there are shitloads of fighters around the place that have "never lost unless they were injured".

But, it is a good accomplishment, because LL, regardless, was still THE BEST, and is an ATG, possibly top 5 heavyweight of all time, but again, more importantly, was the best heavyweight in the division, and Vitali is one of the only fighters who would have put up such a strugge, even at LL's age.

The fact that lewis was 37 years old, and past his best.... is lost on nobody with credability, that doesnt mean it wasnt a good accomplishment. I dont see the connection whatsoever.

I also think LL was a much better 37 then Vitali's 38, meaning i think Vitali isnt as good at this age as LL was at the same age (that, and i think he was better anyways)

Frank Bruno was doing just as well against Lewis as Vitali was before he got stopped. Only difference is he was facing a far better version of Lewis than VITLAY fought. Sure VITLAY deserves credit for putting up a surprisingly good fight in what was supposed to be a routine defense....but that's about it.

People act as if Lewis was at his peak when they fought, which is a complete joke, if Vitali was near Lewis's level he would've took hi out, Marciaono took out Louis, Tyson took out holmes etc Vitali is showing he is leagues above the Arreolas and the Peters of today and that is all nice and fine But he is still greatly overrated in my eyes, In fact Wlad is much better IMO granted he has his flaws.

Don't forget, Rahman splattered a similar version of Lewis (35 yrs +, heavy and sluggish) all over the ring, whereas Vitlay got stopped.

So, using the 'who put up a good fight against a poor Lewis' theory...

    Rahman > Vitlay

Putting Byrd and Tua pretty much tells me all i need to know from that list.

You think its 'likely' Byrd would beat Vitali, and not that its much more likely that Vitali beats Byrd? (about as 'likely' as rahman beating lennox lewis, just because lighting strikes once, doesnt make an outcome of the same two fighters 'likely'), or that Vitali, who guys 6'2'' have a hard time reaching let alone landing on, would 'likely' get beat by a 5'10'' hooker like Tua (vitali is 2'' taller then lennox, and lennox dwarfed tua) is laughable.

Could it happen, of course.... not quite sure why you would think those would be the 'likely' outcomes.

Whether the Klit-ites like it or not, that is an extremely valid point - and also blasts a huge hole in this **** about VITLAY having such a great KO percentage. He doesn't have great power, we saw that last night. He's OK outboxing bums that are out of their depth for sure, one of the best of all times in fact. What he isn't great at is fighting guys that choose to fight back rather than go into a shell - as Lewis proved. Lewis is STILL the only significant name on his record, by the way.

Feel free to point out whos done this or their posts.... anyone with credability that ive seen know that LL is past his best. But again, doesnt mean he wasnt the best at the time.

    I agree :good
