Jack Dempsey was the underdog against Jess Willard.

The odds for Hagler-Hearns went back and forth. Hagler started out as the slight betting favorite.

I've read an article where Hearns was the slight favorite right before the fight but others said Hagler was the slight favorite.

Marciano? At least not a huge underdog anyway as far as I know.

I know he was an under dog in the 1st LaStarza fight. He wasnt expected to win that one. LaStarza was billed as the next big thing.

I said before Jim Jeffries was never an underdog. He is the only guy i can truly think of and he has a piddly amount of pro fights.

Good point - at least during his prime I think SRR was the favorite, but he went on for too long.

I dunno if Liston was an underdog in that second Ali fight or not. Because Liston was favorite to beat Patterson both times and he was a big favorite in his first Ali fight.

I made a fortune betting on Wlad the first time he fought Peter. It's hard to believe now, but Wlad was almost a 2/1 underdog. How things change.

This thread screams Joe Louis. In his second year as a pro he beat former hw champions. And he was expected to do so. He could have been an underdog against Marciano though.

Mike Tyson was never an underdog in all fights he was in.

I am not 100% sure, but wasn't he a betting underdog in the Holyfield rematch and Lennox Lewis fight?

He was an 8-5 underdog in the Lewis fight.

He was a 4-1 to 6-1--depending on when you got in--favorite in the Holyfield rematch
