That list of names in the proper context is crap. First he has not beaten povetkin yet, if he does its an ancient version of a once solid fighter. The Rivas win is tainted for obvious reasons. The Parker win was facilitated by a head but.

Taking everything into context he has two clean wins on that list

Chisora rematch - Chisora was way past his unremarkable prime and took Whyte to the brink in the first fight.

Helenious - who's best win is an ancient Jennings.

    How is the above beastly?

because this version of povetkin beat young prime strong michael hunter

and this version of chisora knocked out Takam which the current champion of the world failed to do

    thats why

    ancient/old blah blah blah blah

means jack... still performing better than the young champs of today

    undeniable

whyte is a beast.. he will beat up all your heroes and crush your dreams

thats why people love him check youtube comments... he has such an amazing fan base

your only fan is your girlfriend because she seen nothing else

I don't have heros for him to crush. I merely call it like I see it. Povetkin is old and shot that's a fact. I could care less about Michael Hunter he's garbage. If you want to just get excited about the names on a resume and completely ignore all context that is your choice

He's up there. I'd rank Joshua a bit ahead of him though.

Hunter's also super game. As is Pov. Actually Povetkin's probably the gamest dude in the division right now considering he literally never ducks anyone ever.

Out of the top ten guys not yet mentioned he's ahead of Fury, Wilder, Ruiz and Parker, way ahead of Pulev and ahead of Usyk only by virtue of the fact Usyk's only had one fight at HW (compare his CW run and he obliterates anyone in the field however).

Well I hope he gets his chance to do just that and I will be intrigued to see what happens. I genuinely do not root against anyone

I swear Michael Hunter is one of the most fluctuating talents on this board, being anything from a contender to a bum depending on which poster's favorite boxer needs to look good.

Povetkin himself comes to mind. He had a heck of a run before facing Wlad.

What is the topic you want us to discuss in this thread?

    - The topic in the title?
    - The greatness of a hypotetical resume?
    - Whytes lack of amateur pedigree?

Whyte deserve a title shot because he's been mandatory for a while, but I've seen nothing to suggest he's anywhere near Fury/joshua level. He almost got beat TWICE by Chisora, on another day he would have been beaten by Parker who almost KOd him. Rivas dropped him also.
