Here are two groups of fighters. The first group I like to watch, generally admire their skills, technique, and overall style. The other group are fighters that simply don't do it for me. I don't find the style of them captivating to my personal taste.

    Likeable.

Duran, De La Hoya, Holmes, Whitaker, Marquez, Hopkins, Pep, Robinson, McCallum, Hearns, Lewis, Barrera, Hagler, Locche, Toney, Curry, Ali, Arguello, Benitez, Mayweather, Monzon, Sanchez.

    Not for me.

Frazier, Foreman, Tszyu, Trinidad, Tyson, Morales, Marciano, Armstrong, Anuofermo, Chavez, Dempsey, Pacquiao, Hatton, Mayorga, LaMotta, McGuigan, Barkley, Ottke, Hamed, Ruiz.

Just two groups off the top of my head.

And Tszyu, what's not to like, he was matching ex champions at 4 fights, he was champ by something like 15. I think. He'd fight anyone.

I think it might be more they don't excite him, or get his juices flowing rather than he actively dislikes them.

Varied styles. Altough you're more inclined to go with the boxer, rather than brawler with the majority of the above. Some are inbetween actually.

It depends on my mood really. I can get into any fighter that displays skill. I like aggressive fighters normally, but a finely balanced boxer with defensive skills is gratifying to watch too, although in a different sense obviously.

It's easier for me to list boxers I either don't like watching or I just don't like:

    Henry Armstrong.

He just doesn't interest me, and usually I like watching swarmers. I don't quite understand why, but he just doesn't do it for me.

    Naseem Hamed

I just don't like him, full stop. I always rooted for his opponents.

    Chris Byrd

    Boring and overrated. Next.

    John Ruiz

They should have called him The Sandman. Boring.

    Post Rosario Hector Camacho

    Too scared to get hit.

    Post Barkley Roberto Duran

Content to take the money and eat.

the fighters i love best are your come-forward brawler types. people like tyson, duran, frazier, foreman, hagler, benn, mclellan, barrera, calzaghe, tszyu, lamotta, hatton .
having said that i have respect for all styles, the more defensive-minded fighters like ali, jones jnr ,mayweather, whitaker, hopkins ,eubank ,watson ,leonard, got a lot of time for them too.

Barney Ross, Joey Giardello, Greb, Mickey Walker, Conn, Zale, the complete Murderer's Row, early Dempsey, Barrera, Azumah Nelson, Steve Collins, Jofre, Robinson, Arguello, JM Marquez, Hagler, a wide array of Philadelphia Fighters from the 60s and 70s, McCallum, Pep, Liston, Pacquiao, Hearns, Marciano, Benny Leonard, and obviously Duran.

I did not appreciate Pryor, Camacho, Roy Jones, Ruiz, Hamed, Nunn, Mayweather, and any number of HWs active in the early to mid 80s.

    Like:

Gatti, Ward, Hopkins, Hagler, Hearns, Wright, Frazier, Holyfield, Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Augustus, Whitaker, Leonard, Pryor, Arguello, Mosley, Chavez, Duran, Armstrong, Monzon, Louis, Byrd, Barrera

    Dislike:

Vargas, Hamed, Ruiz, Camacho, LaMotta, Mayorga, RJJ, Morales

(I appreciate all fighters for their willingness to fight - to take such a risk - but I generally dislike these fighters for their personality, while appreciating their skills ~ except for Mayorga, who I don't like in any shape or fashion)

I only dislike them on their style and generally how they fight. Nothing to do with a personal thing against their personalities, etc. If that was the criteria, Leonard would certainly be on my "not for me" list. I've not included him in either list as he's somewhere inbetween both. Same with Jones.

The fighters in bold are the ones who captivate me to the point of orgasm on a technical level. Marquez and Hopkins are grouped together in the same category; fundementals, delivery of shots, balance, and pin-point accuracy. Whitaker the same, but he expands on it more with his rather complex defense and innovation.
