Marciano's work rate would be too much for a platoon of Royal Marines. Para's? He's sh!t em, and don't even mention the feeble SAS. This guy could out fox Mossad, out work the combined armed forces of a small country, and crush a pyramid with sheer will, determination, relentlessness, and punch power.

 

Marciano-Toney would Marciano-Moore all over again except Toney isnt as good as Moore and doesnt as hard. Just like Moore Toney would be on the ropes waiting for an opportunity to counter when Marciano stopped punching and just like Moore that opportunity wouldnt come. Unlike Moore Toney doesnt have the pop to keep Marciano honest for a round an a half so Toney would get beat down, dominated, and stopped.

 

I only agree with the outcome of the fight.

Maricano - Toney would be an exciting fight in my opinion. Toney would hit him with many clean counter shots. Moore was slicker than Toney but Toney was the better counter puncher on the inside.

 

I make absolutely zero difference that the sportswriters picked Dempsey during Marciano's reign. Most times when a fighter is champion, they aren't as wildly acknowledged as being great. This has happened countless times, and they get more credit later on.

 

Glowacki would finish him late

 

Toney had a far better chin than Archie, no disrespect to the Old Mongoose but Toney had easily one of the best chins in the game, never getting stopped dispite fighting above average heavyweight punchers. He is incredibly active if the fight is coming to him and Marciano will most certainly bring it. It would be a phone booth fight for the ages. I doubt anybody but a prime Tyson is able to stop Toney. He'd be much much faster than Marciano and Rocky proved to be pretty hittable with counter right hands.

But Marciano just had that crude caveman power and endless stamina. In a 12 rounder I think Toney would edge a decision, a 15 rounder favors Marciano with an outside chance of him stopping Toney, but the real winner of this fight is 100% the fans.
