not many, even Hagler vs. Hearns because it changes history and Marvin worked hard for that win.. We change history and it changes things for the worst almost.

That's a tough one. I think a prime Tatsuyoshi (Greg Richardson fight) would beat Sahaprom but I'm not super confident about it.

I think about how Tyson was cheated for a clean victory against Buster but the ref gave Douglas a 13 count instead of a 10 count.
If i could change anything about that fight it wouldent be about the fight itself or the fighters. But if could go back in time I would switch out the Referee for someone that knows a proper 10 count.

I wasn't aware of that, about him having headache s, so really just something bad waiting to happen at the sound of it.

Carl Williams rightfully getting a decision against Larry Holmes that he clearly deserved.

Not meant disrespectfully, but do people really believe Douglas received a long count, and his win a sham? Looked to me and most of the people I know as though Douglas was ready to get up at the count of four.

Hagler-Antofurmo 1. If Hagler Gets the decision he probably breaks Monzon's record of 14 title defenses

Yeah, that’s the grey area with long counts.

Buster def. got a long count - but like Tunney before him, he could only defer to that count and then we have to wonder did they need the whole long count.

Most if not all fighters will say they could’ve arisen before a true 10 seconds - as Tunney claimed and I am assume Buster did also.

If Douglas arose at say a true 7-8 secs I guess that could’ve given a smidge of time for Tyson to follow up - but likely not, the round did end shortly thereafter.

Personally, it looked to me like Buster needed every one of the extra seconds- I also noticed the ref’ Octavia? seemed to slow at the business end of the count -

Buster arose about 1/2 second after the ref tolled 9 - but the ref didn’t appear to be readied to toll a potential 10 - as if Buster’s move to arise was sufficient to freeze the count and let him continue.

Mike was open to certain criticisms but pointing to the long count wasn’t necessarily sour grapes - come from behind KOs are very much a thing in boxing - with due credit for same being afforded.

In some ways, a classic comeback KO ruling could’ve been very much a feather in Mike’s cap after the beating he absorbed.

Not that Ali was behind or that Foreman was viable to continue but by contrast Zack Clayton’s count was either a smidge fast or right on the money for 10 secs.

I get that the count is exactly as the ref in question tolls it - but their intention is/should be to meter it per the sec, and they do have time keepers to sync with.

Me personally, I think he was OK to go and if there was a long count it wouldn't have mattered. He'd still be alright and the bell was going to go as soon as he was up anyway.
But there are a few that swear blind that the count saved Buster.
