    Jones
    Hopkins
    Tony

Joe owed his boxing success to having one of the sport's most unorthodox styles, coupled with high stamina. His wins against top opposition was mainly due to the unorthodox style he had which is difficult or almost impossible to prepare for.
However, had he fought Hopkins when BHOP was in his prime or even a few years earlier, Hopkins would have clearly beaten him, much clearer than he did at 43.

RJJ, before he lost his reflexes and agility would have easily beaten Calzaghe.

An in-shape James Toney would have beaten Calzaghe by UD or TKO. The James Toney who faced Michael Nunn would have TKO'ed Calzaghe.

    Gerald G - Man Mcclellan .

it only took 1 rnd for both Bernard and Roy to make joe taste the canvas .

Just imagine the damage G man would have done .

And those were old and washed up versions not to mention, the SMW/MW version of Toney was an offensive beast.

Eubank also advised Roy Jones not to fight Calzaghe as there was a high risk of Roy losing. (This was when Roy called Eubank on the phone after Calzaghe beat Eubank.)

    lmfao at you pimp,

its possible, unlikely but anything is possible for you to one day be able to understand what you seeing in that squared circle. i know, thats asking lots from you but people are able to learn. its clearly obviously you cant pick out a great fighter even when they are smacking you in the face.

dude, you just wait and GGG being great will prove itself to you. its not my fault you need him to beat certain "top name" fighters for you to be able to understand the greatness GGG has been packing. I dont see ANYONEin boxing today that could or would match him on even terms never mind someone beating him.

i dont think he will come close to losing until his age really starts to rear its head and by then he will be threatening the top 175 lbrs. dont worry, every fight he has will prove the obvious to you, he will look even more dominant because he will be destroying "top" names over the next however many years he sticks around.

If Serg holds true to his word that is such a mismatch its laughable as a fight that would have any meaning. but for someone like you who has trouble
indentifying the differences between fighters by watching and breaking them down. i guess somehow in your silly little weird world him destroying Serg in less than 6 will make him a better fighter than he is now ? for real ?

you feel by beating a name it actually makes one a better fighter ? HELL NO, it just means he has beaten a so called top named fighter.

i truly find it funny when people like you think for anyone to be a great fighter they have to beat certain fighters for you to understand and believe it. him beating anyone and everyone will NOT change ONE thing about him except to casual fans.

Casual fans really dont know how to break a fighter down and cant determine what they truly have to their game and what they dont have. time will prove to you and all the every little knowledged fans alike the greatness of GGG

:rofl:patsch Yeah sure :patsch deluded Calzaghetards, when Joe beat Eubank no one outside of UK didnt know of him even when he had 10 title defenses he wasnt big name in boxing, after he beat Eubank there wasnt a single reason for Roy to fight nobody in Joe, or even later why would real champion Roy care about WBO belt :patsch Joe went on to fight Branko Sobot lol

hey, i (think) i know eveythi,
serious question for you. this is not me bashing you in any way shape or form. we have very different opinions on many
fighters and i have to assume many different things in life, boxing and everything.

now the words great, elite, ATG, bum, cherry picker, ducker, over rated ect ect are used to death on thie forum. its crazy how
over used certain words and statements are abused. in my book there very few great and elite fighters during every ERA and my
ATG list of fighters isnt a 10th of what most on here have. i dont think there can be some 100 odd ATG fighters, thats just
watering down what an ATG really is and the active elite great fighters are very limited to. there arent many great elite fighters
in all of boxing currently. i would have to say there is less than 10 true elite great fighters active right now. my requirements for
one being an elite great fighter is much higher then most if not all on here. i think except of course you because even you are much harder on
any fighter than i could be.

of course, anyone with a some what functioning brain can pick apart any fighter in the historys resume a make it much weaker or
much superior depending on the argument they are trying to make or strengthen. Just a couple fighters that fit my critera as great fighters and do rank amongst my ATG are thrown aside by you saying they are pretty much garbage and didnt beat anyone
so therefor they are nothing, guys like Mayweather, LL and even Calz who just barey makes my greats list.

i was wondering for real, do you consider there to be any great active fighters and who are some of your ATG fighter. just a couple so i can understand where you are coming from.

fyi: when i said you are i (think) i know everything isnt a bash on you, its a fact. no matter what anyone thinks no one knows everything, thats impossible especially when discussing mostly opinions, only facts on here are
fight outcomes, who has what belt and so forth. all the rest is just our opinions.

    just curious man
    thanks

Yeah my name is just a joke so I don't mind people poking fun at it

ATG i would consider to be the top 30 p4p all time - which is going to be a lot different for me compared to other people

of active boxers, I would only put BHop and RJJ (based on his prime) in the top 30 all time.

For the rest of the active boxers, I consider Pac, Floyd, Sergio, Ward, Rigondeux, elite regardless of era. Not all time great, but elite. I consider Marquez borderline elite

Guys who can get to elite in the future (but not yet) I think are Bradley, winner of Kovalev-Stevenson, Golovkin if he gets good competition, Lara if he gets good competition, and Garcia/Gamboa if they fight good competition

I do not consider prime-for-prime these guys to be elite, they are OK or solid, but not elite - Klitschkos, Canelo, Froch, Calzaghe, Tarver, Oscar DLH, Mosley
