when they entered the ring. Mayweather's weight doesnt fluctuate, he has moved up the divisons as he has grown as a man, when he was fighting at 130lbs, he would come in at around 132lbs on fight night, the same at all other weights. The same cannot be said of his opponents over the last 10 years. Imagine is same day weigh ins were introduced, how dominate he would be.
PBF has never been the type of guy who would boil himself down to make weight then come in on fight night weighing 10 or more pounds over the limit. He has been outweighed for many fights in his career.
Jesus Chavez. One of the rare instances. Mayweather doesn't cut much weight like most fighters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFAh4IRyjWU&fmt=18 Carlos Hernandez is another instance. PBF's 2 last bouts @ 130. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M49mNOf4-fY&fmt=18
Even then thats like a 1lb and half he out weighed him. Compared to Pac who weigh in at 129 and would weigh 144.
mayweather reported that he was currently walking around at 146/147 2 weeks after the announcement of the fight. He's lighter than what Pacquaio weighs.
but the fighters he would be fighting would'nt have to deal with cutting weight anymore, nobody would. it would force guys that cut a lot of weight to face bigger men so for instance, so I agree its an advantage for those that don't need to cut but this is another fantasy dreamland hypothetical floyd thread the reality is he is forcing a lightweight to fight him at welter
No he isnt forcing JMM to do anything, he didnt have to take the fight...But with that being said JMM is rolling the dice and if he were somehow able to win the fight there is a huge payoff, one that would vault him into the front of boxing, and get him a GREAT amount of respect with NO EXCUSES unlike Manny "you have to kill yourself to make this weight" Pac:hey
Yes but that lightweight is 5-6lbs lighter than him (currently) JMM fought Pac who outweighed him by 4lbs. So we are talking about Marquez fighting the heaviest fighter he's ever faced. And it's only 1-2lbs heavier than the previous.
