    Yes, many, many more!

If we go back to the "good old days" where 100+ fight careers were the norm, rather than the exception, boxers were (obviously) a lot more active… and, as a consequence, suffered more defeats than today.

Throughout history, there have probably been at least a couple of hundred future champions, who suffered inside-the-distance defeats BEFORE capturing a world crown.

Looking only at future world champions, who were stopped in their FIRST pro fight, we can add (to those already mentioned):

    Edgar Cardenas
    Freddy Castillo
    Miguel Canto
    Tae-Shik Kim
    Jose Luis Bueno
    Felix Machado
    Daniel Jimenez
    Benny Leonard
    Willie Ritchie
    Bruno Arcari
    Pipino Cuevas
    Tommy Freeman
    Sebastian Sylvester
    Johnny Wilson
    Michael Bentt
    Manny Melchor
    Sho Kimura

The most epic one was Joshua getting KO'd by Pricey.
I don't care if it was just sparring, the sparring was real enough to KO Joshua.

I always say the same name, Henry Armstrong.

One of the best boxers ever born, was knocked out in his first fight. Later on, he was the champion of the world in three weights at the same time, when there were only 8 weights, at-the-same-time. Something completely amazing.
