Of course you don't want to hear it, the truth is not always easy to accept!
(Love Gatti and Corrales but they were both borderline B class fighters)

Why limit his opposition to such a narrow range as his prime falls anywhere between 130-140lbs.

With that in mind the following would give him some trouble no doubt.

    Roberto Duran
    Henry Armstrong
    Pernell Whitaker
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Aaron Pryor
    Hector Camacho

A few others as well but Mayweather is so good that not many others in history had a likely chance to beat him in that weight range, and he'd likely win a few of he above as well.

Since everyone likes to compare FMJ to Pacquiao, lets look at who could give Pac a good go in his true range 122-130lbs

    Willy Pep
    Alexis Arguello
    Sandy Sadler
    Salvador Sanchez
and of course we already know how he fared against JMM, MAB, and Morales

The above is the biggest difference between Pac and FMJ as Pac actually faced 3 atg's in his true weight range while FMJ never faced a single one.

he tried in 2009 the other stand out fighter of this generation walked away from negotiations after he, the challanger got basically everything he wanted in negotiations

to answer OPs question i have a feeling JCC would have a good chance at it. as would duran. every fighter i think could do it are all certified ATG's so thats worth mentioning

    - A champion in CANELO ALVAREZ - Young & HUNGRY warrior.

    - Robert Guerrero, who had beaten Andre Berto.

List goes on.... he fights champions at the right time. :deal
