It's renowned for being a boring ass fight, so was the Hopkins fight. I don't give a flying **** if it's Sugar Ray Robinson in there, if it's a boring fight, it's a boring fight.

Jones wanted to engage, Toney didn't. Jones didn't make the fight boring.

It's actually the other way around. Ward's inside fighting would be detered for Jones' speed, power, and counter ability, and Ward doesn't have the greatest chin in the world, so Jones could certainly hurt and him and make him gun shy.

    Tommy's chin says otherwise.

Calzaghe didn't come close to fighting a prime Jones. I love Calzaghe, but he fought the shadow of Jones. Jones knocked Cal down with an elbow shot, lmao. The Jones blazing chin checker was dead and gone when he fought 40Cal. Cal gets 0 credit for beating Jones.

None, but SMW has a short history. I think a better question to ask is what fighters at MW could have beaten Jones the night he fought Hopkins first time.

Tommy did not have a great chin but it was not glass. His jab is going to prevent roy from teeing off on him. Roy could win but it's not as easy as people think

It depends what entertains you as a fan. Each to their own I guess. I love Gatti vs Ward type fights, (who doesn't?) but I don't think the Toney fight was boring.

I didn't think the Ruiz fight was boring either. Because I knew that one mistake and Roy would have been in serious trouble.

we shall never know how good roy jones really was because we don't have a time machine and better drug testing because whatever he was on was clearly ahead of the testing he has been caught before like vitali and once a cheat always a cheat
