Toney was badly weight weakened. it showed.

that win doesn't prove the greatness of Jones. Toney didn't even try to win the fight. he was negative. Jones was happy to stay at range and beat him with just his left hand.

why wouldn't you smack around a known weight drained fighter to bits when nothing is coming back at you? because Jones was a proven mental midget. :deal

No one has ever gave Toney such a clinic..Toney was infamous with weight issues that's not Jones fault .Matter fact Jones was the underdog in that one Jones was moving up in weight ..

    an agenda is it?

what, because i said two British fighters stand "a very good chance of winning the fight"

yeah, Jones who fought nobody due to being a coward would wash these two guys away with ease wouldn't he... :patsch

Jones had his chance to fight Joe sooner. don't cry at me because he did what he usually did by talking about doing it only to not step in the ring.

Calzaghe would beat any version of Roy. you say different, but i don't claim you have an "agenda" do i? idiot.

I've never tried to defame calzaghe. on the contrary, I have always maintained he was clearly a very good fighter.

many times on here, people have explained (me included) why fighters who don't have a US profile, don't get their big fights.
this doesn't just include big fights against US fighters or US based fighters, I've given an example not 30 minutes ago on this board with exactly the same criteria when referring to brook wanting to fight khan, and witter who wanted to fight hatton.
hatton and khan earned their way onto a bigger playing field, and they did that because they knew that frank war+en isn't interested in elevating his best fighters onto a bigger playing field.
this is the same promoter that calzaghe had....and when calzaghe dumped him, what did he do?
he got on a plane to the US.....

calling jones a "coward" and saying "joe would beat up any version of roy" shows clearly that you don't want to be objective or really take in what I've just written above.

I know you well enough by now to know that anything that implies that it was joe's obligation to make his name internationally if he wanted to fight jones and Hopkins in their prime, just won't sit well with you no matter what I say

    why your post is crap:

Witter brought no fan base or money to the table. Brook brings both. in fact, the money on offer would be Amir's biggest purse.

Wa55en promoted Joe when he fought Hopkins. the only time he didn't was his last fight. so what you've "written above" is bull**** and makes no sense.

Jones being a coward is fact. the evidence for that is staked high. Joe beating Jones Prime for Prime is my opinion. just as it is when you pick Jones to win the fight.

now how do you like them Apples?

Toney was a great fighter and that was a great win. Come on. Anyone that will not acknowledge that is just contorting themselves to avoid giving someone credit. There are fighters I don't like, but it is ridiculous when you won't give a person or a team credit for obvious accomplishments.

To answer the threads question, I would pick Benn but these fantasy match ups are hard to a definite feeling about.

    Maybe a prime Hearns.
Because of styles Calzaghe would get blasted as well as Benn.
    McClellan looses a UD.
