I didnt like Hearns for Blitzing Cuevas and i then i hated him for knocking out my hero Roberto Duran... But i came around to Hearns and he ended up being one of my favorite fighters... After Hagler i totally switched and became a huge Hearns fan... IMO one of the most exciting fighters ive seen. Whether he is the Motor City Cobra or the Hit Man hes is something watch.

I so agree with you about Hamed. A mate of mine met him once, and he was,as you say,a deeply unpleasant ****.

I've never actually hated a fighter and then liked him. I didn't like Lennox Lewis, Naseem Hamed or Paulie Malignaggi, then, little by little...Like a fungus, did they grow on me.

    ...Come on, now...

Evander Holyfield. He seemed high on himself in interviews and managed to squeeze God in frequently. I also could not equate that with the blatant use of his head.

But his warrior spirit, pride and tremendous heart won me over. I mean, that's the kind of mentality that makes for the most emotionally charged fights.

I'm pretty sure he used steroids, but I don't mind that much. I mean, he went toe-to-toe with people like Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis who were much bigger than he physically.
