Yeah that's what I mean. He'd have a good shot to beat George imo

Tua my ass, Foreman would KO that man.

Tyson would outslug Foreman and vice versa.

Noone could have gone toe to toe with prime Foreman and finish the fight let alone win. He had great two-fisted punching power and a great chin, good stamina and was just a huge man with a great heart. He could be outboxed but not out slugged.

Tyson, Liston could both go toe to toe with Foreman and come out on top. Tua, Ike and Shavers were in the same class of power with enough ability to have a chance to win as well.... except maybe Shavers who couldn't take it as well as he could dish it out.

Mike would land three or four punches to every one of Foreman's, and as bad as Big George was, he isn't gonna be eating shots from Mike Tyson without it having an effect.

    Charles 'sonny' Liston

In a toe to toe let it all hang out brawl - only Liston was maybe tough enough and certainly strong enough .

the guy was massively built for 6'1" and had a natural hardness and brutality that most pro boxers just dont have ,

One ring doctor who examined him said it was if he had been scientifically bred to beat up other men - massive build, huge fists and that monsterous bulls head that prison guards had broken thier night sticks on.

you just have to tip your hat to Ali to go into the lions den with the two most brutal and intimidating heavyweights in modern boxing history - break both thier hearts and win .

Liston is a good shoutout TBH. He had a lot of sparring with George and I heard they had some wars. Liston gets slack for his showings against Ali but he was disinterested then. A motivated Sonny could slug with Foreman but I don't know if he would win or how long he would choose to slug. He would have a good chance against George and what a great fight that would be.

I can't believe so many have answered Tyson. If there was one fighter in history who I'd say hands down is made to beat Tyson, it'd be Foreman. He'd be caught with uppercuts much the same was Frazier was and Tyson wouldn't have the heart to get up so many times after taking shots that were of greater pure force than his. Being weaker physically and a less powerful (albeit sharper) puncher, Tyson wouldn't stand a chance slugging with George.

I agree with the above post in that Foreman, while a destroyer in his era, would not fair as well these days, with advances in nutrition, and bigger, stronger fighters.

I think Vitali, Tua, and Tyson could probably all trade with Foreman.......probably McCall, as well. Maybe even Razor Ruddock, too.

    I doubt Lewis could.

Tua was garbage and I dont care if his chin was solid, George Chuvalo's chin was solid and he was stopped early by Foreman, check out the fight, Foreman did him in with body shots, he was smart to do it too and they were pretty brutal, he gets chuvalo in the corner and wails on his rib cage.

Foreman became an undisputed linear champ, twice. Tua couldnt even get an ABC belt

Liston was also near 40 and a cocaine addict when he fought Ali. I have little doubt he was paid to take a dive in the fight.
