I wouldn't make any lightweight a favourite, but I'd have
Duran vs Armstrong & Whittaker close to 50/50

Was Popeye a LW, if so then I fancy him to beat Duran, apart from that, nobody...

I would say that either Benny Leonard or Joe Gans will be one of the few lightweight boxers to give prime Duran a tough night. If I were to bet my money on who can beat the beast Duran, I would say Benny Leonard. Duran always had problems against boxers who moved a lot like Buchanan and Bizarro even though Duran eventually pummeled them. Besides from Freddie Welsh and Lew Tendler, nobody really gave Benny Leonard much trouble and his era was way more competitive than that of Duran's. But I'm not taking anything from Duran because his dominance and ring brutality was unprecedented in the lightweight division. Although Duran is locked at the top 3 spot at Lightweight, I got the Ghetto Wizard beating Manos de Piedra 15 rounds UD.

Agree with this. I think they outbox Duran in enough rounds to win.

None duran had way to much power and skill for any lightweight in history all he had to do was clip you with one good shot and ur head would be spinning

I wouldn't pick anyone. Hank would be the best pick for me tho if i was going to go out on a limb.

Arcel ,in later life said Duran was the greatest lightweight.I think Leonard holds that honour.

I dont think Duran's competition compares to Leonard's and Duran was never comfortable against fast skilled boxers who moved[Buchanan traded with him.]

Whitaker is the only one with a real chance IMO.
