B-Hop was on another level to Johnson and anybody he fought, Jones was awful v Glen, I didn`t rate any of his wins that high after his loss to B-Hop.

I could agree with all the above but I just watched "losers" on Netflix about Michael Bentt, he talks about his feelings after being ko'd in the 1st round of his first pro fight. He then went on an undefeated run before battering Tommy Morrison in the first round to win a world title. In his very next fight he lost to a vicious punching Herbie Hide and suffered brain damage. He has since then become a very succesfull in film and theatre, he never actually liked boxing.

You could say both his first and last loss made him better.

I question this. If it were true, he should have avenged his loss to Phillips. I think it was more a case of Tszyu fighting easier competition after that fight. Fighters on the level of Sharmba Mitchell were never going to trouble Kostya.

I think the first loss to Esteban DeJesus helped Duran become a much smarter, crafty fighter while still maintaining his aggressive style.

Lomachenko after his 'loss' to Salido. Definitely helped him improve more as a seasoned pro.

Leonard after Duran learned fight his fight. Hearns after Leonard he learned the fight is not over until it is over, and yet he still fought a stupid fight against Hagler. He is an all time great, but some of his decisions were not great.
