Name active boxers that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame

Haye and Adamek need more work to do if their careers ended today that would be a big nono. Where the hell is Juan M Marquez?atsch Hes 10x more deserving than Haye or Adamek. Also more deserving than a few other guys on your list.

 

yeah that's a **** list. First off, Guzman has zero chance. Jimmy Lennon, Max Kellerman and half of the other guys you named aren't boxers lol... Calderon is for sure and Vazquez is iffy, Ward and Williams it's way too soon to tell.

Hey Bernie id say Vasquez gets in he has the amazing triology with Marquez who also should get in,and avenged his loss to Larios plus he has been Champ for quite a while defending against some tough challengers. The Marquez wins clinched it for him.
If Mcguigan can get in than Vasquez is a shoe in,id put Vasquez over a few guys that are in Mcguigan is just the first that came to mind.
Also just cause Guzman got a gift and a butt kicking the other night,doesnt mean he dont have a decent resume. Im not saying hes in,but I think years down the line he might be considered but he is a longshot as of right now.

 

Guzman has NO chance as things stand now. If he beats Valero, Pac, Nate Campbell etc in the next two or three years he'll get in lol, but the truth is he can't beat Ali Funeka. Guzman sucks balls.

I don't think Rafa gets in... if he does then Vazquez does, but all that means is that the boxing HOF is way too easy to make.

 

You dont have to be an ATG to make the HOF you got guys like Curtis Cokes,JamesBraddock and the good but not to great Barry Mcguigan. Very good but not exactly atg fighters.
If those 3 can make it than Vasquez and R Marquez definetly make it Marquez 7title defenses at Bt 2 division champion and put on some of the greatest fights ever with Vasquez. Vasquez has 8 defenses of his title and 2 out of 3 vs Marquez. The trilogy between the 2 gets them there in my opinion. I do agree that Guzman probably dont get in as of right know but if he wins a lightweight title that might do it as that will make him a champion in 3 weight divisions more than most who are in the HOF

I agree with this list....not guzman though....guzman has lost his way....hall of fame standards are low....if you break down hatton's resume for his era and his reign as lineal champ at 140....hatton will get in easier then some think, and if they let gatti in, then it's a no brainer hatton will get in....but probably not first ballot....Haegawa? maybe....calderon is also a maybe imo...

 

Id put money on it that both Klitchkos get in especially with just a couple more title defenses. Hell Braddock and Norton are in,although I think Norton was a very good fighter his only claim to ring semi greatness is The win over Ali,he never even won the title legitimatley he had it handed to him litterally.

 

Ofcourse the Klitschkos should get in. They are dominating this era of heavyweights (although a weak one).

 

Agree with what you just said. I dont think Guzman either. Hatton is not a first ballot it will probably take him atleast 10 to 15 years to get in. Hell Little Red and Curry have been waiting longer and both were better than Hatton. FOr as much as a fan as iam of Gattis im not to sure if should get in :think If he does that just opens the door to let alot of other guys in.

 

Hatton was on the p4p list for 2-3 years, and was lineal champ for 4 years which is above average for this era....belts change hands quite fast these days....he was THE ambassador of UK boxing throughout the world for this decade....his fan base will never be duplicated again, it was very unique, and because the hall of fame is what it is....hall of fame not greatness....hatton easily gets in....

Cotto is also on the fence....but because of the puerto rican legacy in boxing, he was the most popular and accomplished puerto rican this decade...I count trinidad as a 90's fighter....cotto will probably get in...

If Hatton or Cotto was american it would be harder for them to get in...

 

how can people justify putting hatton in the HOF but not Gatti?
