Hatton's career record is a lot better than Gatti's.
Hatton is a lot more famous than Gatti.

The Hall of fame is becoming a joke, only the best of the best should be there but once they started inducting guys that shouldnt be there it left the door open for more to follow.

and cause of those low standards you can make a case for almost anyone that has won a title or two.

Agree, When I'm old I will probably laugh at some of the guys they let in from the era when I was in my youth....

Imagine guys like katsidis, juan diaz, juan urango, david haye, malignaggi, JCC JR:blood, Bika, Lacy, Sturm... I bet you some of these guys will get into the hall 50-60 years from now because the standards are slow....

Sure he is. He's probably as famous as Gatti actually in America.

Add in the UK where Hatton is a genuine media personality and Hatton is far more widely known.

When in his career was Gatti ever front page news? When did he appear on non-boxing network sports shows? When did he appear in a fight that sold over 2 million PPVs? When did 30000 people travel halfway across the world to watch him? Hatton wins this hands down.

    Bernard Hopkins
    Roy Jones Jr
    Manny Pacquiao
    Shane Mosley
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Joel Casamayor
    Israel Vasquez

All HOF worthy, in my judgment.

Americans dont travel to support Boxers.

Gatti was a huge PPV draw for years.Gatti didnt have to be elite to get the huge support he got.Gatti was on the radar FAR FAR FAR longer than Hatton.

true, but hatton was the draw in his major PPV events against 2 p4p number 1 guys....gatti was on the B side fighting de la hoya and mayweather....gatti was only a gate draw in atlantic city.....hatton had the largest crowd in britian to watch boxing post world war 2.......

besides hatton is more accomplished as well then gatti...

    Not a chance.

Hatton got hardcore British support. He never got hardcore global support.

Hatton DOES not win this hands down sorry.

Adamek can put as many if not more butts in seats as Hopkins right now but that doesnt make his legacy greater.

    first rate ballots

    Roy Jones
    Bernard Hopkins
    Manny Pacquaio
    Shane Mosley
    Evander Holyfield
    James Toney

Mayweather might be number one ballot but he needs one more big match and he needs to win to be number 1 ballot in my view

    JMM is second rate

Pretty sure that De La Hoya v Gatti wasn't PPV and that Mayweather v Gatti was the first and only time Gatti had been in the main fight of a PPV (first time for Floyd too).
